IMHO, concept is valid especially for the professional AP and especially for teams.
In this regard, see BJA3, top of page 213, last lines of the very top paragraph.

Agree, it is one of the reasons I have the stated opinion.

Plus the practical aspect of following the metric through 1,000's of sessions.

When you realize that 4 times n0 is a better metric for being certain of being ahead (EV equals 2SD) having a low n0 really shows its importance. Like The difference between a 17,000 round n0 and a 40,000 round n0 becomes 68,000 rounds and 160,000 rounds for EV equals 2 times SD. That is about one year of play versus about three years of play for those that get a decent number of hours in a year. If you play more like 250 hours a year it is roughly 2.5 years of play versus roughly 6.5 years of play.

    ^ That.

Look at N0 in terms of time, as different games have different speeds. Realize that some games can be played more time than others, so may want to look at it as in how many weeks or months before you hit some “long term” figure. As in, it might be 20 hours for game X, 50 hours for game Y....but I can only put in 5 hours a month on X (so that’s 4 months), but I can do 25 hours a month on Y (so that’s 2 months).
