I wonder if dbs and zee are one and the same. That's the same question for all of his inane comments.

Sharky, you really need to relax a little. Yes, some of what I said was light hearted humor. I can tell you’re somewhat smart. Again, I meant that in gest.

You need to not take everything so literally. Freightman has that problem too. People can dish it out on this site, but they have a hard time taking any kind of good natured ribbing.

Ok, so now that we’ve got that out of the way, I have a question for you since you have all these degrees and apparently think very highly of yourself.

Where should the dealer put the cut card to generate more revenue when they are standing at an empty table? This is what I see at all the casinos I go to. In this case, will moving the cut card further back help the casinos make more money? I’ll be waiting for your answer, since you appear to think moving the cut card back is the answer to every question.

typically, the cards are fanned out face down at empty tables, fool

why would it matter anyways if nobody was playing?

    you REALLY are PATHETIC

I am officially done w/ you and your silliness...

This is the dumbest question I have ever heard. Nobody can answer the question because it is a trick question. The dealer doesn't place the cut card anywhere unless there is someone playing.

Well I spoke too soon. This is the dumbest question I have ever heard. The casino makes no money at all until someone plays so the question is moot. Then of course the casinos theoretical is higher with a deeper cut. Only someone really stupid who has no clue what drives revenue for the AP (the casino is the ultimate AP) would believe otherwise. You have a lot to learn about being an AP and seem totally clueless about making a business efficient and more profitable.

For someone who claims to be smart, you’re still missing my point. Freightman also has this problem. The reason APs argue that moving the cut card back will generate more revenue is because it will generate more hands per hour. I get that. That’s a pretty easy concept to get. But if casinos constantly have dealers standing in front of empty tables, then that means they have already generated more product (hands) than there is demand (customers who want to play those hands). So the cut card debate becomes meaningless.

This means it really doesn’t mater where the dealer puts the cut card because there is no demand for the product. The casinos problem is not finding a way to generate more hands per hour...their problem is generating more demand, meaning more customers. Why is this such a hard concept for you to understand?

btw, what did you think of my idea of having someone in the casino using a cattle prod to speed people up when they pause too long to make a decision? If you think a casinos primarly problem is getting in more hands per hour, then I’d think you’d be all for this cattle prodder approach. APs seem to think the only thing that helps a casino generate more revenue is finding ways for the dealer to generate more hands per hour. I can assure you it’s a lot more complicated than that. I wish you well. Good discussion. I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree.

If you get the part in bold print as you claim to, then you know that they will have dealers standing at empty tables no matter were the cut card is placed. Demand is not customers that want to play. You are selling 1 round of BJ played. If you have 100 players playing playing 40 rounds an hour at one casino A, and 50 players playing 100 rounds per hour at the casino B. The demand that casino A has generated is 4000 rounds/hour and the demand casino B has generated is 5000 rounds/hour. You misunderstanding what demand is has you thinking casino A has 100% more demand than casino B because they have twice as many players playing. But the reality is casino B has 25% more demand than casino A because they are dealing more rounds per hour. Your product is a round of BJ played. Demand is how much of your product you must generate to fulfill your customers needs.

It is the same as a new car dealership selling 1 car each to 10,000 people versus the car dealership across the street selling 100,000 cars to a company that requires lots of cars to do business. The former has 10,000 times as many customers but fills 10% of the demand than the latter fills. Demand isn't the number of customers you have it is how many units you move. Now that is about the simplest concept in business but you just can't grasp what they teach in day 1 of business101. Do you have any idea how frustrating that is to people who have made fortunes making businesses more efficient and profitable?

Wow, that was really some intellectual points you made there. I’m still trying to take in all in. Lol. Usually when someone loses an argument, they resort to name calling. I’m not saying this is the case here, but just saying.

You really need to not take this so seriously. I though this whole cut card debate was over a long time ago, until you wanted to revive it again. I can tell this is a very important thing for you to believe. I’ve told you all along if it helps you get through life, then you need to believe it. It really doesn’t matter to me. It’s just not that important.
