Strategy Change for No Hole Card

Hey everybody. I am new here! Where I play, most casinos don’t have a hole card. How does the game change then with regards to:

    - Edge
    - Basic Strategy
    - Deviations (Illustrious 18 etc... any else?)
    - Counting
    Rules**edit**
    - Surrender allowed
    - DAS, Split aces again, H17, ENHC
    - Dealer takes only first bet when doubled vs A

    Thank you!

    Need more info.

-is surrender offered? Possibly early surrender but not vs A? (ES10).

-Does dealer win everything when you split/double down and then they get a blackjack, or just take the original bet?

If it is an obo game then it is functionally the same as a game where they peek. With ENHC you need to not double or split vs A or T except AA v T and the house edge increases by 0.1%

-You didn't say what type of surrender, there's different variations. My guess would be it's ES10, which means you have to surrender before any more cards are dealt but you can't surrender against a dealer Ace.

-Pretty sure you mean blackjack, not ace.

Anyways, if this is the case:

    Edge: 0.33% (assuming 6 deck)

    Basic Strategy: normal 6 deck H17 basic strategy you can find online, but you're gonna want to surrender 14 15 and 16 v 10, 16 v 9, and 88 and 77 v 10.

Deviations: normal 6 deck H17 deviations, no hole card doesn't change this. However, surrender indexes will be different. I can give you those for ES10 if you need. What do you use, HiLo?

    Counting: no change.

What city are you referring to? Canada is all OBO except for Regina which is ENHC. The hybrid OBO / ENHC game you are describing does not exist in Canada.

Figured he likely was misuing ENCH, thinking it just meant no hole card dealt.

Post your email and I can email you so you have it if you have more questions. Delete the post after I respond and have seen it
