Best way to play with teammate/gf?

I sometimes play with my gf (non-counter) to reduce heat. Anyone have suggestions on the most lucrative ways to do this, or just ways to reduce heat even more?

Also, would it make sense for her to get a players card so we can get comped rooms/food?

You're doing it wrong: playing with your gf should make you hotter ;-)

Lots of PDA will deflect attention from your play.

Perfect opportunity for obscuring betting stategies to "get the money" bet if she is capable.

If not, you can still "help" her by telling her what to do and what to bet.

I do this with my wife. She shows me questionable playing hands and I tell her what to do . I often add money to her bet from my stack or tell her to add money from hers. She will occasionally get larger chips from my stack and bet them on her hand and I will compain about her taking my money. She will tell me that she feels lucky but did not want to lose her money.

Some planning is required but you get the idea.

The more good looking and outgoing she is, the more AP play you can get away with. All this may sound sexist and it is because, in this environement, it is the way it is.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

    Best act I ever saw.
He is drinking like a fish, keeping perfect count, playing $50-$200 on 1/2 the hands, socializing the rest of the time. (Perfect count).

She is playing all the hands $10-$60

She is damn near sitting on his lap. She jabs him in the ribs when to play the side bet.

Unfortunately, she's not really capable of much besides putting bets out - barely any BS and definitely can't count. Sometimes i'll tell her to sit out when the count is low and sometimes i'll sit out - whoever is "losing" more often usually sits out a few hands. I haven't done any calculations but that improves our spread and EV. I've told her when the count rises to mimic my bets by glancing at how many chips i have out, but she's new to this so she hasn't been as accurate as i've liked. i end up poking her and urging her to add more chips, which, if anyone's watching, would seem suspicious, I'd think. But that's what we have so far. I also make it like our money is separate (it's all mine though), so as not to seem like we're a team.

oh yeah, and she's pretty, pretty easy on the eyes. but i can be quite rough, so it averages out.

Reminds me of the most recent episode of "Who is America." Sacha Baron Cohen getting "serviced" while discussing buying a luxury yacht. That guy is the master at making people look like fools.

I always found it hard to sit out more than a few hands at a time, especially when there is a certain type of player who goes crazy when someone 'ruins the flow.' if i'm in a place like philly, i can't help but feel intimidated. if the count is really in the toilet i'll go to the toilet, but i can't see how i could ever sit out half the shoe.

i remember when i first started counting, i sat out for a few hands and someone at the table asked what i was doing and the dealer nonchalantly answered, "oh, he's counting." I was so embarrassed; it took all my strength not to get up and run right then. but i laughed it off, stayed a few more hands, and then left.

Reviving this thread so I don’t create another for the same question. Excuse the question but I’m not too experienced in the casino setting yet.

If I had my girlfriend with me at the table, and I was playing two hands ($5 min, spread 2x10 to 2x60), would it be suspicious to the pit if my girlfriend played my 2nd hand? So the chips would only be mine. I feel like its too obvious if I tell her to mimic my chipstack if she used her own chips or if I poked and prodded her.

She knows hard total BS, I’d tell her to ask me how to play any soft hands or splits. In terms of deviations I’d tell her to ask me how to play 9s and 12s as well (+ always stand on 16 v T). I feel like this covers all bases because most ill18 is 9s,12s, and soft totals.
    What do you guys think?

That is actually a stupid assumption by the dealer ( without actually counted someone down) but they are GENERALLY right. Now use it to your advantage . They are taught to look for a few things , don't give it to them .

Having her play your other hand is a pain. In most places, you'll have to give her the chips, and then she'll have to touch them. It's really unwarranted attention.

Just call her in as a BP. She comes in and flat bets. That makes it easier for you to tell her how to play her hands; after all, she's just there for a few minutes having fun, right?

You can tell her when to leave with a code word, or with chip placement, or whatever you want.

Is there any other profession where you would want your spouse to be right next to you every time you go to work? Yes, you may win some but is it viable long term? Now and then is okay I guess but getting ready, going to work together and working together? A mistake or two and a losing session can really screw you up. Blaming whoever is assigned to count for not keeping count, disputing playing decisions because both had a different TC or made a mistake deck estimating, one rounding up, the other down, etc., etc.

Then there is the time or two when her hand on your lap is distracting or your looking at gthe hostess is upsetting her etc.

I am not sure its a good idea.
