What was the call for?

This morning I was playing at the local caisno. I was in High limit room and the minimal bet is $25. I had been playing for about an hour and the pitboss answered a phone call and she looked at the rate system screen and read 4 numbers to the phone. I checked my player card and it was the first 4 numbers of my card. The phone call lasted for about 45 seconds but the pitboss didn't say much. After a couple hands and I left. But I really wanted to know what was the phone call about. I ran bad this morning and my max bet was only 100(My max bet is 300 when count is good).



A little bit background:

I just started play bj about 4 months ago and started to applying/learning Hi Lo about a month ago. However I'm up about 4-5k from this local casino and most of them was from I when I started play by BS.

So you have been taking about $1k a month from a local casino and playing in the UK room recently. I think you should give the casino a break.

Often, a new counter increases bets lockstep with the count. It seems that they may have picked up on it. HL rooms are more closely watched. You are likely to lose your privilege of you continue. Assuming you cannot help going to that local casino, go there and play lower limit games, try playing anonymously, try short sessions and small wins.

This is US casino. So you think the cameral guy suspending that I'm counter? Why did they call the pitboss to verifyme? Have the pitboss update the systemto watch me in future?

Often surveillance will call to get ID on player or a dealer on the table. If it is a 4 digit, I would think it is more likely a dealer but if you said it matched your card, then it is the card. But why only first 4 numbers. It does not make sense. But any way, if you counting card, eventually you will be backed off. It is like death and taxes, no way around it. Stop worrying too much.
