    U.S Blackjack Trip

    Hi Guys,

It's been a while since wrote on the forum,
Sorry for not been so active lately,
But I need your help for fulfilling my dream, I finally considering doing a long blackjack trip over the U.S.
I started to make a research lately, but i have few questions,
    I really appreciate your help.

before asking i am not a U.S citizen, i only have a travelling VISA; there for I don't have any bank account.
I am a part-time card counter for almost 10 years.

    Travelling

    1. Best cheapest way to travel by air-plane over U.S, is there any phone application specialised in U.S air-plane travel.

    2. A recommended car rental service.

    3. What happen if my VISA expired and I am still in U.S, on my return back do I get arrested? Do they take my money? My winnings?

    Money

    1. Entering to U.S with an amount of over 10,000$ unmarked bill, (which i don't have any receipt), i understand that the best way is to
    declare it.

1.1 What is the mean of declaring it, do they take any percentage of my money?

1.2 What happened if by the end trip i returned with much more money then i used to have, do they take my money ?

1.3 Do they take a percentage from my winnings?

1.4 Do i need to have a casino receipt for my winnings ?

    2. If I travel between cities within the U.S, do i need to declare my money every time, if my amount is larger than 10,000$?

    3. Do they search for money belt in the airport, if the answer is yes, do they always ask how much money do i have?
Any tips for caring money all over U.S will be much appreciated?

    4. Is their way to open a bank account without having any relatives or friends living in U.S?

    5. Best way to wire money from a foreign country to U.S?

    Phone

    1. A recommend SIM which i will be able to surf and make local and international calls ?

    Comps

    1. I understand that the comps is widely available over U.S , Is it still relevant to read "Comp City" by Max Rubin ?

    2. Any books or tips about comps, I am not planning to get any player card, however in some special cases I will reconsider it.

    Casino Networks

    1. What are the casinos properties that linked together ? , I don't want to burn myself all over.

    2. Is there a map of Indian casino's available ? if not can you please state their locations.

Any extra tips on any subject will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help and patient for reading such a long post.
    Regards
    Kripton

Quite a list of questions! I'll address a few of them (from what I know).

For travel within the US by plane I would book out typically 1 month or more in order to get better airfares. Many websites to help with this but most common are orbitz, travelocity, expedia and skyscanner. Much of the time I look at skyscanner and then find the best fare and then look directly on that airline website as well to see if it's cheaper. The same websites listed above also work for car rentals. Once again more advanced notice usually helps get better deals (although sometimes you can find great last minute airfare and car rentals).

As far as overstaying your visa, why would you risk it? They would probably let you leave (with your cash) but then you would be in trouble if you applied for another visa to come back here in the future. There are ways to apply for a visa extension but it has to be done AFTER you are already here and it would only be granted under extenuating circumstances. You cannot come here to the US with a plan to extend your visa already predetermined. You could apply for a visa extension when you are here, but it could be denied and mean that you have to leave immediately (or risk consequences).

Entering the US with over $10k cash is supposed to be declared. If you don't declare it and you are pulled aside and searched your cash could be confiscated under the premise they suspect the money is related to drugs/money laundering or other illegal activities. When you arrive in the US you will fill out a form which states that you are or are not carrying $10k or more in currency (among other questions). Declaring the cash should not be any cause for alarm but may hold you up some due to some questioning and possible searching of you and your personal items.

When you leave the US you won't usually have any issues but then again you will probably have to declare the cash again in the country you arrive in (depending on their laws/regulations). The US will not take a percentage of your earnings (unless you win in machine games with $1200 or more jackpots and they take out taxes if your home country has no treaty with the US regarding taxes).

In the US traveling city to city or state to state requires no declaration of cash. You can be pulled aside and questioned if they know you are carrying it in the airport but just be smart about concealing it somewhere and try not to carry anything that would make a search of your bags a necessity (like carrying liquids above 4 ounces). There is no rule or problem with carrying large cash amounts within the US (but that doesn't mean that TSA agents will leave you alone) If the airport uses a full body scanner (where you hold your hands above your head) you are best to just put the money in your money pouch and put it in your carry on.

Money can be wired from foreign countries to you but would probably be easiest with Western Union. You probably could open up a bank account as a visitor but I'm not sure on that one as they may need you to provide a social security number.

As far as a phone goes, you are probably best to use prepaid cell service/sim and use internet apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime audio, viber to make calls to people. Tmobile is decent since they have no contracts and can just pay month to month.

Comp City is still one of my favorite books even though much of the info is outdated. Bottom line is if you don't ask you won't receive the comp.

If you play rated most of the players clubs will have a brochure showing which properties are linked. A simple google search will guide you as well. MGM and Caesars are the big boys with properties all over the country.

Best of luck on your adventures!

Why would you even consider over staying your visa? How long is your visa good for?

    Thanks for that info,
My Visa is applies for only 180 days, so my expected EV is smaller then what i intend to win .
Crossing the Canadian border and going back to U.S may increase my stay for 6 months, but it's still too risky.
So maybe i will try to apply for visa extension like clevelander recommended.

"Thank you very much for time, for answering such a long list of questions,
I really appreciate it, especially for answering all my questions regarding to the "Money" section,

but to clarify the subject , when i leave U.S with much larger amount of money then i declared,
are you sure that after a full body scan they will not recognised my money belts and start to ask questions ?

As regarding to the "Phone" subject, What is the best way to get the T-mobile SIM ?"

If, after 180 days, you are up, you could use some of the winnings to take a short trip overseas and return for a visa extension. After 180 days, maybe you might want to be home for a week. A BJ trip that long will burn you out and you would not want to extend further.

Leaving the US with 10k or more in USD, must be declared. Not to do so is foolish, and exposes you to unnecessary risk. I would never leave money in a carry on, as Rigue tSa agents have been known to steal. Put the money in an envelope, hold it with you as you go through scanners. They can inspect it right in front of you if you so desire, after which you put the whole Manila sized envelope back into your cargo pants.

Intra USA travel have no restrictions on cash held, use same procedure as above at airports.

Be careful when driving a car. Obey all speed signs and be careful not go break any traffic laws. Civil asset forfeiture is a big issue in the US, and Yankee cops can be pretty rude, obnoxious and theft hungry. If stopped, they may well ask you if they can search your car. Do not consent to any searches. When they ask a second time, saying you don't have anything to hide, do you, reaffirm that you do not consent, and am I free to go. Do not relinquish your rights, because that may well lead to cash seizure. You don't have to break the law. You don't have to be a resident or citizen to assert your rights. Assert, but politely.

Thanks for that extra info Freightman,
Do cops can make you get out of your car and make a full body search ?
What happened if the find my money belt ?
What do i need to tell them ?
Did you encountered with that scenario before ?
