    Found strange tag or tile

I rarely play blackjack (or any other card games), and I have nothing to say or ask about actually playing the game. I created this account solely to post this question: Is this 2 inch square by approx. 1/8 (0.112) inch thick engraved plastic tile some kind visual aid for hearing impaired blackjack players? The House Way and Hold sides are engraved for horizontal flipping- I only pictured them rotated 90 degrees to make it clear that this is a two inch square. I found it in a downtown Palo Alto, California parking lot a week or so ago. There are no casinos or card rooms anywhere nearby, as far as I know. Thank you!

I think that’s a button used on the game Pai Gow.

I have never seen this tike before but I was thinking the same thing. "House way" is a term in Pai Gow. I am not sure about "hold". I watched Pai Gow a little from my seat in the Asian restaurant but never played it.

To be clear, "house way" is for any game that has a particular way the hand can be set. I only know of Asian games that do this, but there's more than just Pai Gow. Anyway, neat find. I'd probably make a key chain out of it.

Thank you for the replies! I think you're all probably about right. I'll take the advice to make a keychain, and I'll post a picture. I'll also continue browsing the forum, just for fun. Thanks again.

I would guess the hold side might be used to save a players seat, instead of a lammer.

Well you fucked up. I can tell from the picture you put your car key on House Way.
