In Bill Zender's book Casino-ology 2, he has a chapter on how to catch card counters. He goes on to describe a simple means for shift management/surveillance to construct a spreadsheet and analyze a player.

While I think his methods are somewhat rudimentary, I do think they go a long way at exposing the mindset of a majority of casino personnel.

I would suggest you take your game and run it against his "model" and see how you fare. Casino Verite would make this very easy to do by utilizing the logging features.

apparently, they analyze the video after the player left, and put their play in the software.

the HE is about less than 0.2% so i want to play there but dont want to get caught.

i searched the forum to see if there is any good way to cover, and i found a post suggesting a positive progression betting when tc is =>-2.

since all they believe is the software, other covers like chatting with pit or playing drunk wont work.

if anyone has any experience with the actual software, i would like to hear your opinion.

Wow! If they can tell what the count is at any table at any time, see that a better averaging $25-$50 on most hands has a $200+ bet out at a table with a high positive count, a player is done.

There is one casino I play at in the Midwest where, even when just one BY table is open and just one of two players playing, he walks over to the pit monitor every time we increase our initial bet. I think it has this. The one with the Marque Rewards and producers, icons and shit. They counter measure quickly.

    ANNOUNCEMENT

    TO: BEGINNING CARD COUNTERS

If you have now mastered the technical aspects of card counting and have been told that all you need to do to win "long term" is bet more money when you have an advantage, you need to stop and consider what else you should know.

You are now ready to delve into game selection, cover betting, sessions length, surveillance protocols and all the myriad of playing aspects that will dictate your longevity. Become expert at these topics, do your homework. Then you are ready to attack.

Otherwise, you are going to get blown up very quickly (even faster if you win) and there is no EV if you are not allowed to play.

Does anyone have any idea of the price range of these surveillance tools?

Just curious, because if it's high dollars then perhaps small venues may be the place to play.
