There's only one casino in CC with S17, and the DD game is center cut.

Also, be aware that almost every casino prohibits anyone under 21 from even walking through the gaming floor, so if you're staying at a casino hotel, your kid will have to stay on the hotel levels. Of course, the restaurants are on the casino levels, so he can't even eat there...

I'm not sure where you got that from, (maybe CBJN, but I don't have a subscription to it to verify), referring to only one casino with S17. The part about DD being center cut is true, but there are multiple casinos in CC with S17.

Not sure if I should name there here or not, but I was at two of them yesterday.

In regards to the eating: That's true, I didn't think of that. I know the Ameristar has one restaurant that isn't on the casino floor.

    Isn't Crystal Palace closed?

And his comment on the thin air is true. Denver is 5280ft, Central City/Blackhawk are around 8500...

Altitude sickness strikes pretty quick to those not expecting it.

If your referring to the synonym for 100 years, their S17 table is hardly every open.

When were you there? Last time I looked in, it was slots only.

That was one of them I was referring to. I think they have 3 tables that are S17, not just 1. Maybe I've been lucky when I go, but the table has always been open.

I played in blackhawk three years ago when i was driving back from vegas to nyc. i'm not sure what the odds are on this, but i played for about 7 hours at a few tables in one casino (don't remember which one), most of those at one table (i didn't care if i got backed off). during almost every shoe/DD, the count skyrocketed - but it never came down. i lost a boatload there and couldn't help but feel i was cheated. i'm not 100% sure, but i think i also remember them not showing the cards when they changed them. maybe i had a unique experience but i would never go back.

    Dear Mr. Babar,

I represent the Black Hawk Chamber of Commerce. Thank you for this information. We are most excited to meet you. Your picture from OSN has already been circulated around town and we will be sure to keep an eye out and comp you a meal. Just so we can have the necessary paperwork ready for your arrival, when exactly do you plan to visit us?

Does anybody really get a back off in Black Hawk? Table max is only a $100. In checking CBJN I noticed most of the DD are at least $10, $15, or even $25 min. Can't get much of a spread with a $25 min game. I see no reason why anyone would ever be backed off with such a low max bet limit.

Since I have never been to Black Hawk is it similar to Deadwood in South Dakota. I would think it would be a lot more crowded with Denver nearby.

From looking at CBJN it appears the best casinos in Black Hawk are Golden Gates and Golden Mardi Gras.

I've been backed off from both of those places.
