Thread: What should I do?

    What should I do?

This is my local shop. I have been playing here for years without being backed off. Although it uses ASM only but ASM is in the random mode so I win about 80% of the times. The rules are S17, 6D, cut off 1D or 1.5D depending on dealers. My spread is $25 (TC 0 or negative), $100 (TC +1), $200 (TC +2), $300 (TC +3), $400 (TC +4), $450 (TC +5 or higher). This is a big casino. The tolerance level is $500.

Now here is my problem. Since this is a honest casino, I see about 10 counters regularly. Everybody uses play-it-all style because the ploppies also play-it-all. But recently there is a new AP in town. For some reason, he likes to play at my table. He stands behind me and only Wong-in when TC reaches +1. His spread is the same as mine but he always plays two hands. Initially he will play two hands of $100 when he comes in. And his max bet is $400 a hand (x2) to comply with this casino's tolerance level as well. He left when TC drops to below +1 or the shoe is over.

My question is what I should do when he sits dome. He has done this for two or three weeks now, I am afraid if the surveillance reviews the tape, they will find out that he is a counter and I. I just hate the new AP doesn't mix with the ploppies and stand out like this one.

Give him a hard time re: changing sacred order of the cards
For beast mode ASM, read the following thread:

Every time he sits down say loudly our good luck charm is playing. The tens and aces seem to come out when he is playing. Point it out when it happens. I guarantee he will choose to backcount other tables rather than yours.

Get rid of him ASAP. I had a moron do something similiar but he jumped in with a 7x$200 spread. It didn't take long for the venue to cotton on and nuke the place with CSMs.

Is he backbetting? If so, when he backbets you bet the table minimum and bust the hand no matter what. He'll get the message.

Two choices here. Find a nmse game or blow his cover. I've done it both ways. Turf wars, ya' know. I've also had to deal with leeches-they jump in whenever you make larger bets.

NMSE would be the best solution but this casino has none. Now I have to keep looking at my back. It makes me look suspicious, too. And he always appeared on my back when the count turns good. I don't know how he did that. Sometimes there is two hour period the TC never rise above +1 and he just avoids the long waiting period of the time.

Find him somewhere in the casino not playing and ask him to chill out and stop jumping in/out of your game. It's not cool, not professional and he's at risk to getting both of you booted.

Have you considered he has a teammate calling him in? Maybe one of the ploppies next to you is actually a counter as well.

If that is true you certainly could be at a table with no spotter at it. Of course he may have more than one.

Not likely. He is very young. His style is like a lone wolf. I have decided that I just avoid this casino until he is gone. He should be banned soon. Even his bet is under the tolerance level, he is the only person that enters the game when TC reaches +1, then Wong out if TC turns under +1. Plus he almost won big (1k or 2k) in every session. Surveillance has to take a look at his play.

    BJGenius,

Have a friend, dressed as 'a suit', approach him when he
is playing and whisper in his ear. "O.K. Guy. Your play
is restricted to flat bets." No discussion, the fictitious suit
    immediately disappears.

Almost undoubtedly, that strategy is "over the top" Just
write him a note and when he sits down you pretend to be
picking up a note. You simply say "I think that you dropped
this." Of course, the content of the message is, (or should be),
    obvious.
