    World Blackjack Circuit

As a blackjack fanatic, ludicrous thoughts commonly conjure in my mind regarding elaborate lifestyles allowing me to play blackjack full-time while traveling and experiencing adventures one might not get to working a 9-5. One such ubiquitous thought among APs might be going full-time pro and traveling the country. There is plenty of information readily available for one to plan out a "circuit" or loop hitting up all the US casinos and to just keep going round in circles indefinitely. I'm interested in your thoughts on extrapolating this to a "world circuit".

How intriguing and simply surreal would it be to have a circuit mapped out hitting every casino in the known world that offers beatable blackjack? How would one even go about researching this? There seems to be a huge void in information regarding conditions around the world. I have read peculiar things on the internet, such as that Early surrender still exists in South African casinos; this and other information seems to point to the notion that many countries around the world offer much more generous conditions than the US.

Of course, safety would be of primary concern. Converting to local currency and back again, especially in smaller and obscure countries, might nullify any gains. Any other concerns or considerations? Surely a well funded master of blackjack could complete this behemoth of blackjack trips, and maybe earn himself/herself a spot on the Blackjack Hall of Fame as well.

Search on YouTube for the Gambling With An Edge episode where they interview "BJ Traveller". True to his handle (he goes by this name on the BJ21 forums and I think this one too, but I`m not sure if he still posts), he`s traveled around the world playing a ton of different countries. He tells some pretty crazy stories in that episode about the situations that happened in some of the more dangerous places he went.

Vagabond would be an expert on world blackjack play. Also ask Blackjack Traveler what it is like to spend almost a month in a Nepal jail.

He actually didn't get jailed for counting cards but for carrying a large sum of money in an uncivilized country with corrupt customs agents. All those ROR equations are missing a very important variable: geographic location.
Thanks for posting that; good read. This is the main story I had in mind when I mentioned the dangerous places he went to mentioned in his GWAE episode, because he told the story on there too. I didn`t know about the article though; it has much more detail.

But these are your posts, which you don't need to read.

Just make sure to leave Australia OFF that circuit. BJ is dead as a doorknob here.

Have you also considered currency exchange and all that entails?

    No, it's all CSM now.

You can get shoe BJ and Pontoon in VIP/high limit rooms but you're looking at $50 minimums and hawkish pit critters watching your every move.

Conditions in casinos are always changing, especially penetration levels.
There are not enough really good playable BJ locales that have tolerable
"heat" etc. etc. to create a circuit. I actually used to do this on the East
Coast where actual table conditions are (overall) the best in the U.S.A.
The result was getting an OSN profile complete with photos, etc. leading

(in part) to my (premature) retirement from the casino underworld.

I know that I have mentioned my most recent acolytes, the pair of Medical
    Students that have, over
the last ½ year, been on the road continually,
(pretty much) from "coast-to-coast. Their goal is honorable ~ their need
to pay off high five figure education loans before Med' School commences
    in a couple of months.

You’ll have a very difficult time traveling the world if you limit yourself to only straight counting blackjack. Many countries have more favorable rules and less heat, but lower limits and reduced pen (2.0 on 6 deck is common). I’ve forced myself to learn many other games and advanced plays just to survive this lifestyle over the last three years.

I play pretty much everything except roulette and four card poker. If sticking to just blackjack, you’ll have to find an additional angle like tracking or rebates to make it worthwhile (once you get half-shoed after winning a relatively small amount).
