I guess its time to visit Resorts Monticello or even MGM Springfield.
Just over an hour to either casino. I've been playing MGM Springfield once a week with good results. To those who aren't familiar, the $25 minimum games there are S17, 3:2, 6 decks, late surrender, re-split aces and dealt from ASMs.

Speaking of breakfast, Foxwoods has closed their buffet for renovations. Breakfast buffets are available at Cedars Steakhouse and the Veranda Cafe. Lunch and dinner buffets can be had at the Veranda Cafe only.

As a $25 minimum player, my only option at Foxwoods is 8 deck H17 games. There are a few hand shuffled tables depending on the time of day but most are ASM. My personal preference is the ASM. You should find penetration to be around 7/8 decks. If you can spread, you can beat these games. Foxwoods is especially lenient on anything outside high limits.

Headline from HartfordBusiness.com .... Mohegan's 4Q Profits Plummet. "table game revenues fell 7.9 percent during the quarter."

    Foxwoods isn't faring any better.

Starting Monday, MGM will offer what they are calling door to door bus service to their casino. It will reach well into Connecticut and as far north as New Hampshire. Riders will get all or most of the fee returned in the form of food and slot play.

Meanwhile, Mohegan Sun just announced a partnership with Paramount to build a Paramount Pictures theme park and casino in South Korea. It will be built in phases and will be huge. There will be every amenity that you can think of and several that you could never dream of.

The old rules are still in place in the high limit rooms and at least one pit on the main floor. That one will be $25 minimums. Not a problem for many of us but it could make it more difficult to find decent penetration at this venue that is famous for it's notoriously poor pen.
Not going to help them compete with new casinos in NY and MA. Locals casinos (and that is what Fox and MS are) do not typically do very well with 6:5 blackjack except as an option at very low stakes and usually with single and/or double deck.

They are following the Atlantic City model. When competition opens nearby, make your games worse. Worked well for them...

East Coast ploppies aren't rubes like ploppies are in some parts of the country. 6:5 has proven a failure every time it is used. the casinos are always worrying about paying dealers but pay them to stand around twiddling their thumbs at games with ridiculous HEs that everyone that plays quickly figures out it is a bad game by how quickly they lose their money. There are a few table games that fit this category and the carney game 6:5 is one of them. Some areas have ploppies so stupid they don't even realize the difference.

I'm not sure about that. The 6-5 $10 tables at Mohegan Sun were crowded last weekend while about 50 feet away the $15 3-2 tables were going begging. I tried to explain to one guy that with just basic strategy he would lose less betting $15 per hand at a 3-2 table than $10 at a 6-5. He wasn't buying it. I also saw some folks betting $20 per hand as a basic bet at the 6-5 tables. So CT has its share of uninformed ploppies.

Maybe the table limit has to do with it. Some player just want to play few hands, those who play 6:5 usually dont know BS, theyre playing against 3-5% HE,

I see the same thing in my part of the country. A 6:5 table with a lower table min will be packed, while a 3:2 table 15 feet away will be begging for people. And ploppies playing at the 6:5 table will be betting above the table min at the 3:2 table. Makes no sense. A pit guy and I laughed at it when we saw it.

You can’t really blame casinos for putting 6:5 in when ploppies seem to like them as much as 3:2. Maybe ploppies are playing at these tables so they can lose their money faster so they can go home and spend more time with their families. Most ploppies seems to be resigned they will lose anyway.

The ploppies think that 6:5 is a better pay off than 3:2.

Lol. I don’t think they are that dumb. I also don’t think they want to lose their money faster, even though I said that. I think they play at these tables for two reasons. One, they know they can bet less if they start losing, and two many times it’s the guy playing with his girlfriend/wife. The girlfriend/wife is playing table min, while the guy usually plays more to show he can handle bigger action, which usually amounts to $15 to $25. Lol

Casinos make a lot of money from the alpha male ploppy trying to show off to his girlfriend/wife.

    True story:

At a local casino, guy was walking around looking at the tables. He came back to where I'm sitting and asks the dealer, "Where are the 6:5 games?"
Dealer answered, "Sir, we only have 3:2 here. It's better for the player."
He responded with an incredulous tone, "Are you trying to tell me your games are better than Vegas?"
