You won't like this. Foxwoods has slowly been adding more 6:5 tables. They said they wouldn't, they swore they wouldn't, they promised they wouldn't. They did.

In addition to the 22 tables in the Fox Tower, 16 more are now ready for play. There are 6 in the Great Cedar Casino and 10 in the Rainmaker Casino. The Grand Pequot Casino has remained 3:2 so far. Total thus far is 38 6:5 tables.

The new casinos that don't try to rip off their players by turning BJ into a carny game better put in more tables and machines to accommodate the customers that no longer go to the two oldest Indian Casinos.

Of course, you agreed (with the critter watching)

My answer was that I only win it when I don't play it, so the player next to me is welcome to play it if he wants.

That means I don't need to waste a trip to Foxwoods.
I guess that means I can stop playing blackjack - probably a good thing. Better to play golf instead.

These Casinos are shooting themselves in the foot. Eventually the suckers at the 6/5 tables will get pissed off because they lose all the time
thanks for the info - saves me a trip to see it

Right, just like the suckers who bet the side bets at BJ, play roulette, play slots, play Keno, buy scratch-off lottery tickets... I'm sure the casino won't make any more money on 6:5 than it makes on those things.

1:1 Blackjack isn't far off IMO. How many ploppies have you seen gleefully yelling "even money", thrilled to get paid at all for their natural?

And roulette is now going to triple-zero wheels.

That means a house edge of 7.69% which I think may burn players out too fast.

They're at it again. Bright and early this morning Foxwoods maintenance stripped the felts from another 10 tables and is outfitting them with 6:5. This is in the Grand Pequot Casino which means that every casino on the property now has some 6:5 tables.

Well this is a first. The 6:5 felts referred to in the above post were installed by mistake. They caught it after some were already on the tables and have replaced them with 3:2 once again. The confusion came as they were installing a new side bet which will be on all tables including the Newport Room. No information on the side bet yet other than it costs $5 and the chip must be placed on the red circle much like the progressives.

Paymypush, I am amazed at how frequent you are at Foxwoods and Mohegan! You must live next door and stop in for breakfast daily. Keep up the good reporting! Btw, I am disappointed to hear that my favorite casino, Foxwoods, is going down the tubes. The game there has been the best in the state for the last five years or more. I guess its time to visit Resorts Monticello or even MGM Springfield.
