    Ace tracking

    Hi guys

Do you know Ace tracking techniques? I'm just curious about this method and wanna ask If it is possibile to master it and get advantage . Is it still profittable ?

I know that a basic method is to mind the key cards close to the Ace and try to recognize the position of it in the next shoe.
Is it still possibile in a 6 decks game with the current rules?

    Thanks to everyone

The problem around my neck of the woods is finding a hand shuffled game. I have heard of people saying they can sequence an ASM, but I am a skeptic.

I have played with probably the world's best ace sequencer. He could remember the sequences for 12 aces in a shoe. It's because of him that several LV casinos changed their shuffle. Nowadays, it's extremely rare to find a shuffle that is amenable to ace sequencing.

Are you ready to practice 3-4 hours for 2 years or more? It is hard work and requires full dedication. Once you begin to key in more than 10 sequences (10 pairs of key cards preceding 10 aces), your mind begins to forget or confuse some of them as you play multiple shoes. So you go back to practicing again. Once you are able to memorise whole deck of cards in, say, 30 or 40 seconds, then you could play a much profitable game under current conditions (complex shuffles).

If you memorise less than 10 sequences (20 key cards), you risk over betting or under betting unless you find a simpler shuffle. Multidecks are full of false keys and missed opportunities if you could only manage to key-in a handful of aces.

Did I finally get to your ears?

Hand shuffled game has the great comeback in the past 9 months because many Blackjack players refuse to play ASM tables as artificial intelligence technology skyrocketed recently and the sequencing algorithm improves so much. Now you can find $25, $15 or even $10 minimal BJ tables everywhere, not just limited to $50 or $100 minimal tables in high roller room. The casinos try to cater the bad players who will lose money anyway against ASM or hand-shuffled. AP should do their homework and play only hand-shuffled games.

No, I beat the ASM games no problem. But this is an ace sequencing thread.

This is either misinformation or, more seriously, disinformation. Please explain why keying in less than 10 aces risks over-betting or under-betting. Don't discourage learning the most powerful bj skill.

I have a question. If someone is a proficient ace sequencer, (say sequencing 10 aces per 6 deck shoe accurately) then is ace sequencing, without counting on top of it, more profitable than just counting? Assuming they find an exploitable hand shuffle. And by how much?

Voodoo. I see these kind of clumps as often playing hand shuffle as playing ASM shuffle. I thought Norm warned you about putting this kind of voodoo posts in a quality thread.

To my best knowledge (my observations and other believers' opinions circulated on Internet), casinos practicing clumping only do it on weekends and holidays. I can still get truly random shoes on weekdays at ASM tables and if pit boss doesn't think I am a threat. Now I play 95% of the hand-shuffled games and 5% of ASM these days to make my sense sharp to detect unnatural clumps when playing ASM. When I sense the clumping is turned on, I bust more often, have more failed double downs, and much much less Blackjacks (only 1 or 2 Blackjack every hour, this is the most effective detecting method if you can play a 4 or 5 hour session). It seems to me that casinos turn to the highest setting on holiday. I would say the clumped shoes at $10 table is 80%, $15 table is 60% and 25% table is 40% on weekends. The settings probably go to 80% and 100% across the board on holiday. So it is best to observe it on holiday at $10/$15 tables.

The solutions for all is obvious - play during the week. Thank you for your astute observation.

But my biggest winning days are on the weekend against ASMs.
