Poll: Do You Smoke

We all know smoking is bad for one's health. We also know a lot of casino folks smoke. Since most on this forum are AP players and should be smarter, I'm wondering if more AP's don't smoke than the general population. Right now only about 15% of USA population smokes.

I would bet max units that the majority of us are smokers or ex smokers.

Gamblers, which we are, are compulsive types and are more likely to have addictions i.e smoking.

I would estimate I have smoked less than 10 cigarettes in my entire life.

I just found this. I'm not sure why the results are multiplied by three, but this indicates gamblers smoke just about as much as the general population. One thing I noticed at the blackjack table over the years is when the dealer gets hot and really starts winning out come the smokes.

Ditto. 2nd Hand smoke might be a reason for game, as well as time, and casino selection.

Boy, these poll results are hard to believe. Less than 5% smokers on this forum. I have a feeling the smokers didn't bother to answer the poll. It is a shame less than 25 folks answered the poll while over 200 have viewed it. I don't know what everyone is afraid of. Handles are not disclosed in the poll. Results will not be accurate unless more folks participate.

On a Friday evening at a full blackjack table in my neck of the woods, it is pretty normal to see 2 out of 7 players smoking, and that is about 29% smoking rate.
