    Pit Critter Comments

    I'm curious...

What is the oddest, most humorous, or outrageous thing a boss has said to you at the table, or while backing you off?

“You should lower your bet the first hand of every shoe; statistics show the house wins the first hand 87.5% of the time.”

    He was not joking...

Pit managers oversee millions upon millions in action over the course of their time on the floor... Pretty amusing as to who these corporations bestow this responsibility upon.

You should have asked if the house then has a 22.5% of winning the second round XD

While about to be backed off but still playing through a shoe with a TC well over 10, floor says "it's like the dealer keeps getting all of the cards you're supposed to get". I still got a few more rounds in before they got the right person over to back me off.

Not directly to me: "He knows the cards ?"
I only had insisted on doubling A7 vs 2 despite the reluctance of the dealer.

    Another
"Nous avons déjà eu des compteurs. Nous changeons alors plus souvent de croupier"
"We have already had counters. We then change dealer more often"
I agreed but I am still searching ...

There are several ways to make yourself 'persona non grata.'
You probably count cards in some obvious way AND are a
generally unpleasant sort who does not 'toke', (even the best
dealers) when winning, as do most amateur Card Counters.

Only kidding around. Your bad breath and unwashed clothes
may have something to do with it. In reality, MANY employees
hate their jobs, and in turn, hate the people that they may be
obliged to interact with. Female employees will fiercely hate you
if you are a sexist ignoramus with dirty fingernails!

Speaking seriously, would YOU enjoy such a creepy job as assisting a corporation in their predatory efforts to separate poor people from their assets?

I'd be willing to bet there are a multitude of sociopaths playing professional blackjack.

It was actually a dual rate floor person that told me that. And I was toking, and betting 2 units on 1st hand, and chipping up even on a negative count because he is hawking me. But when i spread into two hands, he became proactive and shows some heat.
