Is There Some Web Site to Find Out If Airlines Are Having a Fare War?

Just stumbled across some real low fares on United Airlines. I don't know if its a sale or not. It would be nice if you could get a notice by email when an airline is having a sale. Anyway to be alerted to fare sales?

I have had good success in finding low fares using airfarewatchdog.com you can set alerts for low fares to any city and it will alert you to sales and low fares

Caution: United Airlines are famous for booting people from their flights. They have a habit of selling Basic Economy tickets which they charge for everything. You don't get to choose your seats. They charge for carry on bags. They will make you check the bag so they can make money off of you. When you get your bags from baggage claim some parts of your bag will become broken. So be careful of United Airlines. From now on I won't even flight United Airlines. I don't care how low their fares are. The only airlines that is worth flying Basic Economy is Delta Airline because they don't charge for carry on bags. You get better food in Delta Airlines.

Southwest does not charge for first 2 bags. Delta is one of the worst airlines. Actually, they are all bad, hard to pick worst one.

I don't have a choice. The only airline that serves my closet airport is United.

Well, than make sure you read the regulation on getting boot from United Airlines and ask for reimbursement.

I know Delta Airlines is bad, it is better if you have to fly on Basic Economy airfare. For best airline experience if you are flying economy is from Alaska, Jet Blue and Virgin American. If are you are flying first class American or Delta would be fine. But United I would never fly with them regardless. Southwest is okay but not the best in terms of experience.

In response to the OP.... there are websites that do this. I have no experience with airfarewatchdog - the sites I use are very good, but everything is more or less lumped together (or in broad categories, departing from a specific continent) . You have to skim-read every day to find out what's happening and what error fares/price wars are around.

    http://www.secretflying.com/euro-deals/
    https://www.fly4free.com/flights/flight-deals/usa/

    are two good examples.

United Airlines in the news again:

    https://www.upi.com/https:/www.upi.c...8721514294130/

I am surprise that with this bad of a review travelers still choose to fly on United Airlines! I take other people's review seriously. If they say there are things wrong with the service I will look for it when I travel on that airline.

Doesn't really matter which Yankee airline you fly. They all treat you like shit. You're just a customer. If you think they actually care about you, you're delusional.

The worst airlines in the USA are Delta and American,
while the best are Southwest and Alaska Airlines.

I agree. Airlines are flying cattle cars.

Wonder why there are more and more disturbances on airlines? Because they keep shrinking everyone's personal space, and people don't tolerate it, to the breaking point at times.
The airlines' greed is like casinos. They push and push with nickel and dime charges. Besides baggage fees, some now have carry-on fees, seat reservation fees, etc.

Once you fly with them enough to get to the second tier of their frequent flier program you'll be treated a lot better. IMHO, the savings from getting a basic economy ticket are not worth it.
