    Question about subscription and paranoia

Question about the subscription... The general sense of paranoia about revealing identities and such leads me to wonder- If I pay for the subscription with a credit card, is my identity revealed to the owner and admin's?

    Should I use a pre-paid cc?

Your stated concern is misplaced. The paranoia issue revolves on casinos knowing who we are.

Paranoia has its value. I have a general privacy policy at: https://www.blackjacktheforum.com/sh...vacy#post39736

As far as subscriptions, I pay PayPal to handle subscriptions. They don't pass me credit card info as there is no reason to do so.
As far as purchases, I have a policy at: https://qfit.com/blackjack-privacy.htm.

I will respectfully disagree. I do not know who has access to the data. Is it possible for data access to stay secure? Has an AP ever worked for the casino? Consulting work pays well and selling data is all the rage right now.

    Sassybarr,

In the event you do not know, Norm is both the moderator/owner of this forum but also of the website qfit.com and all of its products and services. Qfit offers the gold standard in blackjack software for training analysis and simulation. In my many years here and in using his products, I have never found any instance of impropriety regarding our security or privacy (or anything else for that matter).

I do appreciate your concern and your willingness to ask the question. Well played.

Thank you for your comment Stealth. I certainly was not accusing anyone of impropriety and I appreciate the info you provided about the site. I read Norms post and was reassured which is what I was looking for. I happen to work on both sides of the table and find it best to keep a low profile in all situations. I do not want AP's or casinos to know who I am.

Although, with all of the news about data breaches and personal information being hacked, I find it a little naive to assume anything safe in cyberspace. So I work on the assumption that any data I put online is at risk. Extra caution has served me well over the last 25 years of placing myself in risky situations.
