    In Colombia, which is an ENHC game, you can take insurance at any time during the hand.

    The best way to leverage that would be to wait until the dealer is just about to take his second card.

    In case anyone thinks that this refutes my earlier statement, it should probably be more fully stated as "At the time the decision is made -- An unexposed hole card is mathematically no different than one which will be drawn later".

    Then Gronbog is wrong... you should wait until the dealer draws an X as her second card, THEN take insurance ;-)
