    Table Drop Question

I have a question about table drop:

For ease of discussion, let's assume a table has just opened, and I am the first (and only) player.

I buy-in for $500. I play heads up, and lose $100. I walk away with $400 in chips. Is the table drop $100 or $500 ?

Alternate scenario: If I WIN $100, and then quit, what is the table drop under the second scenario? Is it
a negative $100 from the casino perspective? Or something else?

I ask because on a different thread one person seemed to challenge my perception of table drop. Wanted to clarify.

    Thanks

"Table Drop" is simply the amount of cash, Match Play coupons,
etc. that is (literally) dropped into the box beneath the table.

Wins / Losses have no part of this discussion.

Three, before Freighter slams you, let me commend you on a concise accurate post for a newbie to understand drop v. hold.

Freighter is still slamming me? How juvenile.

The fact is, you don't have me on ignore. You are compelled - you can't help yourself, like lemmings off a cliff. Now, saying so does give you plausible deniability.

I always found the silly belief re: lemmings committing mass suicide
so very funny, even better than ostriches hiding their heads in holes.

I think its funny that people will jump all over you because you comment about someone that is no longer a member but those same people don't jump on people for commenting about people that have them on ignore. I really don't see the difference. One can't reply and the other doesn't know they might want to reply. Both amount to the same thing.

I guess you're stuck in a paradox. On one hand, you say you have me on ignore. On the other, to feed your compulsion, you really don't. So, you can't respond directly - to do so reveals your compulsion - therefore - you must comment in generalities, hoping you don't screw up.

The problem for you is - you have to keep track of all the speak, doublespeak and generalities. Oh, what a tangled web we weave.......

Here we go again with that self- centered mentality. Of course everyone supposed to know that Three has someone on the ignore function, and who it is like it means something. After all, you are the most followed and prolific poster in the history of the board "in your mind". Now that I know what is going on all I can say is Freightman, Shame, Shame, Shame.

Follow up question on this same scenario...

If someone else walks in with $1,000 in chips, is the drop still $500?

Out of that $1,000 the person lost $300 chips and walked away with the $700 chips. Is the hold now +$200?
