You are not kidding, often I like to play two spots, and one place I play at has unlimited splits on two's through nines and I have gotten involved in some real beauties, sometimes with two sets of pairs from both circles. Unfortunately, this draws real attention even during slow times and the plops eat it up "as it is not their money" especially when my max bets are in the circles, and I know that the decision will make or break the day's result, at least at that house. Playing to completion "which I always do" by making every split and double is a red flag as many plops would have stopped much sooner, requires an end to the session regardless of result. During these hands my expectation results were right where they should be.

T3, notice that everyone is only responding to the last of your 4 paragraphs. Maybe the three preceding paragraphs were unnecessary?
You sure carry a lot of money. I play $25-$175 DD games and after once losing $3.3k at one session, I opted to always take between $2k and $2.5 k for a session. If I lose $2k, I need to take a break and consider why I am losing (tired, losing count, underbetting, overbetting etc.). If it gets under $400, I walk to car or go home to get more.

My reaction to losing $3.2K in one shoe would be to bring factor of 3 or 4 times that much. It sure as hell wouldn't be to bring less. The worst thing that you can do is run out of money on a high count shoe. It's big bet time and each round results get more and more certain. You decide you need to carry less? What kind of logic is that? You want to make sure you never run out by making sure each session is only started if you have sufficient funds. "
I stated that I play DD games and rarely do you ever get a monster count with a lot of rounds to play. For a single session of a DD game, $2.5k is sufficient for me. I also have additional funds in the car. I basically just take a walk to review my play, state (mental and physical) but it gets me saY from the table.
I agree. A lovely AP who was so good that I never knew later told me in a PM that I must have been tired and that I max bet on a couple of high negative counts (got away once) and must have flipped the negative with the positive. I can make mistakes at my age when playing tired. I have no desire to lose more than $2k in a DD session and its how I ensure that I quit if down that much. Given that I play $25 tables, its sufficient funds. I would go take a walk to my car, decide if I was going to play more or try another day. More often than not, I quit that casino, either go to my hotel to sleep or to another casino.
