    Messing with the ploppies

I really try not to mess with the plops . They will rat you out and make your AP life miserable . "Win the battle without a fight " something to that effect? right? Ploppies are there for us to exploit ,not fight with . i do agree they slow the game down , draw heat , distracting , possibly down right dangerous etc...

The game would not exist without ploppies. If every player even played correct basic strategy the game would probably go away....at least in any form that can be beaten.

I think the goal is for the casino to be filled with ploppies.....but not at our table.

Wait a minute.....we also don't want other AP's at our table.

So............. the goal is to play HU against the dealer. Not always possible.

Generally try to get a long with the ploppies. Sometimes, it is simply not possible, so you do what you have to do.

Being nice is a start. If they're trustworthy, and bust out needing funds for a double or split, hand over the chips. Play your cards right, you'll be able to scavenge in on some doubles etc.

You exploit them one way by using them for card eating purposes. You really cannot avoid confrontation, think rabid dog attacking you at any point in time, for no apparent or logical reason. It is impossible, and a complete waste of time trying to please them, as they are looking for scapegoats to blame for their own shit for brains.

I find the term "exploit" confusing. What do you mean by exploiting ploppies?

to use selfishly for one's own ends:
    employers who exploit their workers.

make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource).: -The AP exploited the ploppy's lack of hand EV matchup knowledge for scavenging opportunities.

While difficult to do and probably a bad idea I'm assuming you could encourage them to hit/split more often in negative/neutral counts and to stand/double(over hitting)/surrender in high counts. This would be a similar, but lesser effect, to having more players for bad counts and fewer players with good counts. So fewer rounds at a disadvantage, and more rounds at an advantage.

You can also use them to misdirect/deflect heat. IE drafting off a whale. When someone is betting big, being loud, or doing weird shit, draw attention to it subtly. People tend to look where you're looking so simply acting entranced can be enough, or commenting on how hot someone is running.

You can also assume a ploppy's identity for a session if they leave broke or without coloring up. If the pit is inattentive, you sit in their place, with chip inventory, and if they don't ask for players card, all win/losses for your session get linked to the ploppy.

I like to use ploppies to see what happens when people split 10s or make large bets.

Without them there would be no APs. APs are tolerated to a certain extent to pick up some of the crumbs the ploppies leave on the casino floor.

Can you imagine how bad the games would become if everyone only played perfect BS?

Ploppies are a pain, but a necessity regardless. Treat them well, if they deserve politeness. Never mistreat an old Chinese mama - the pit will eviscerate you.
