    What to share and where

In light of the recent posts, I thought it would be a great time to capture some AP ground rules.

These aren't rules in that if you break them you go to jail, but more like rules for success.

I was going to add to the prior thread, but if it's deleted all comments are lost, so here goes. Please add additional advice.

    1. If you find a honey hole, or a huge exploit, TELL ONLY THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE PERSONALLY VETTED. If it gets out and everyone flocks there, the casino will react and your game is gone.

    2. If you know someone personally, don't give their real info to anyone. Always use their nickname. This includes info about their location, or game selection, like "MrAP I know you're in XXX state and love YYY game. Can you give me intel in the pen?"

    3. If you are at a table and you realize you're with another counter leave the table. It is too easy to notice two people raising and lowering at the same time. (I know some will disagree with this rule, so I've added a codicil.)
    A. If you wong in or won't leave, at least don't comment. Nothing is worse than a show off calling attention to your play. "Good timing on raising that bet!"
    B. Don't try to meet them later, like asking for contact info. If you are simply DYING to hook up, post a vagueish request on a forum.

    4. Trip reports are fun, but can inadvertently give out too much identifying info about you and/or the casino. Wait a bit, and blur the details.

    5. If you're heading to a new area and want intel, buy CBJN. While it isn't always 100% correct, it's better than announcing your plans. "I'll be in Vegas 2/7-2/10 and want to play DD. I have a $10K bankroll, and I'll have a car. Where should I go?"

    6. Vet your own contacts. If I'm reaching out to someone, I often say "So and so has met me, and will vouch for my excellent character" or something similar. Even then, if they don't reply, or they turn down my request (it happens) it's okay. I understand, because they haven't personally vetted me.

The idea with these rules is that most APs want to make as much money as they can FOR AS LONG AS THEY CAN. We need to be our own game protection and identity protection group, much like casinos.

    Any other ideas?

3(b) is an annoyance, not that 3, well yeah, he's an annoyance as well.

Supposed ap's who want to cuddle up and discuss this and that in the casino coffee shop.

Also, to elaborate in 5 (don't think we have any 5's, so no annoyances there)

CBJN is often inaccurate, for a number of reasons. It is a guide only, and not a substitute for your own scouting. I've found some real gems outside of CBJN. Also, what may be reported and was a good game, may gave turned into shit in a very short time frame - for any number of reasons.

    2 important critical points
-to show, or not to show, my Royal Canadian Jewish handle - that is the question
-remove the "J", and kindly further comment.

Holy sh*t! What the F*ck is wrong with you, Midwest Player?

What could your motivation have been to post that?

HE will never speak to you again I imagine. I wouldn't!

I can't believe that all casinos read these sites. If a post doesn't identify yourself by including recent activity details, and isn't too explicit, you can give a casino name with a letter change or some other mod to the name so it won't show up in Google. Obviously, one shouldn't post details about a big advantage.

I obviously agree with this sentiment.

Sharing info and networking is what this is about but some common sense should be used.

I would add that a facility for sharing sensitive information is "PM" but many come and ask without being paying members. (Damn, there's that free thing again )

I will delete the post, on second thought just mentioning it might be too much. After all I don't want to piss him off. Maybe Freightman can delete my quote in post #8.

I clearly missed something, cause I don't know what the big deal us, do, by inference, I think I now know. In any event, MWP, if u delete yours, I'll delete mi e, as well as this one.

By the way, I'm still awaiting that invite to the U,P. For better driving conditions than what we have here.

I didn't know what the big deal was either, since the post didn't mention anything. I rather be safe than sorry and Flash thought it was inappropriate so I did a delete.

Anyway, this weekend Mich Tech University is having their winter carnival. Ice statues are the big attraction. The judging of the snow statues was today. The big lake has pretty much frozen over so the lake effect snow machine has shut down. Be prepared to sleep in your car as a hotel room can't be found within a 100 miles (well maybe you can find one). You will also hear the roar of snowmobiles all night long.
