Mohegan Sun vs. Atlantic City for low limit (10-15)

Found some info regarding the comparison between the two elsewhere online, but its either outdated or not specific enough. Been to Mohegan recently a few times. Trying to decide if its better than anything in AC for low limit (5-15). I spread about 1-10. Pen at Mohegan is not that good, but from what I'm reading its same in AC. Is this true? Mohegan has surrender, and from what I read only Golden Nugget has surrender and even then not always available. Also Mohegan is S17 6 deck, but from what I understand any 8 deck with better penetration and H17 with no surrender may actually be better. is this really so?

Which places in AC should I consider? Are better than Mohegan?

    Thanks

There are no $5 tables at Mohegan Sun. Anyone inquiring will be directed to the Stadium Blackjack in the Sky Casino. Every table at this property is 6 deck S17 with surrender. Despite it's well deserved reputation for poor penetration, there are some dealers on all shifts that cut thin and $10 minimums can almost always be found.

There are no $5 tables in Atlantic City save for that one at the Borg. They may be some in the Wild Wild West party pit but I refuse to call 6:5 blackjack. At the minimums you mention, Atlantic City will be 8 decks, H17 and no surrender. You should be able to find some S17 at $10 minimums depending on the time of day and traffic. Resorts comes to mind. I'll save you a trip to the Marina by telling you to forget about the Golden Nugget. Surrender can be requested in the high limit pit only but that can be a double edged sword.

Are you in Connecticut? How about 8 deck, H17, surrender and excellent pen that can be 7/8? Beats the heck out of AC. Just go over the river and through the woods. Foxwoods that is.

No. I'm in New York. So you are saying 8 deck H17 at foxwoods is better than 6 deck S17 at mohegan and anything else in AC?

How about mohegan vs. Anything in AC (up to $15 minimum)?

    The entire post could have
    been reduced to the above.

    A pithy response is preferable.

The significantly deeper penetration makes the
Foxwoods low stakes game the superior choice.

    Penetration rules!

We prefer CSM's when we play blackjack.

Is there a point to your
"We prefer CSM's when we play blackjack."
I assume that you are trying to be sarcastic, something ill-suited
    to an
online forum, and to proper conversation as well.

Sorry, don't mean to laugh - in context, it is one of the more humorous posts of the year. It's actually pretty damn funny.

Fair enough. I'll take that into consideration next time I go.

Going back to my op question, is there anything in AC as good or better than mohegan (15 minimum). From what I read Golden Nugget is just due to penetration. Is this true?
Anything else in AC better than S17 and surrender in mohegan due to pen?

Perhaps ShipTheCookies is the Most Interesting Man in the World. I can hear the TV Commercial Announcer now "When he plays blackjack, the house surrenders as soon as he places his bets!. He is, the Most Interesting Man in the World."
"Your honor, with all due respect: if you're going to try my case for me, I wish you wouldn't lose it."

I'm not interesting at all. But counting is for amateurs!

I can't recommend anything in AC for straight counting. Maybe the Hard Rock will surprise us when it opens this Memorial Day Weekend. Nah, that's just wishful thinking. Incidentally that's the same date that Resorts International opened 40 years ago.

Again, if you can find some of the limited good pen at Mohegan Sun you'll be okay. If all you can find is the standard pen in the low to mid 60% range then yes to Foxwoods. There's not a lot of heat on the main floor so you'll be able to use the spread required to beat that game.

Maybe you'll find this odd. I was once told no more blackjack in Foxwoods' Newport Room (6 deck, S17) but that I was welcome to play the 8 deck H17 games on the main floors.
