"Wait and Wong-in at favorable TC" V.S. "Play at the beginning of the shoe"?

    8-Deck (~69% penetration; cut 2.5deck. Lousy penetration I know)
    BJ paid 3-to-2
DAS (and double on any cards)
    RSA (upto 4 times)
    Late Surrender
Peek for BJ on 10s or Aces (The more I play, the more I appreciate the dealer peeking on Tens for BJ)
    Minimum $10
***ZERO HEAT (I play at a foreigner-only casino located in Asia; but tables are usually full. Very small casino)

I use Hi-Opt II + ASC, and use 1-20 spread

I'm a beginner (played only 152 hours so far; made $5500 profit so far). But everyday I go to the casino, I face a dilemma whether to wait to wong-in, or just play from the start. I do not mind waiting; I just wonder if it is worth it. Significant amount of profit I made is from spreading at high TC (not just petty TC like +2 or +3, but at like +5).

Any suggestion? I know this is most likely a grey area, but I'm open to hear suggestion and ideas.

    Thank you

The "cost" of playing from the start is minimal.
    Just "Wong-Out", finding a new table, at T.C. -2

See BJA3 for an analysis of this very issue.

On paper, waiting until a high TC to Wong in is obviously better.

In practice, it means a lot of awkwardly standing around and brings heat both from the house and the civilians. Start from the top and Wong out if the count gets down to a certain level. As Gronbog said, the optimal departure point can be found in BJA3.

As I recall BJA3 white rabbit (play from start and wong out) is not much different than wonging in and out and, probably will draw less attention.
