Thread: Questions on OSN

    Questions on OSN

How many names are there in the OSN?

    Is it regional or nationwide?

Once in OSN, how is it applied when you are playing anonymously? If you are winning, do they use facial recognition and OSN to back you off?

If OSN lists you and your car, does that mean that they recognize you before you enter into a casino? Do they monitor it that closely?

If MLife, CET, Station casinos, Trop have you as a non counter, the fact that some small casino put you into OSN mean that those large chains will honor it, take your comps and keep you out when that small casino may have made a mistake (and put a slow learner, lazy guy who does not even know BS, never practiced and never used software)?

There where about 1,000 entries at the beginning of 2016. They are nationwide.

    It application is casino dependent.

Some will not find you unless you are like some people , playing rated, so they can look you up with ease. You might relate it to the pit calling surveillance and having them check your play, I assure you that they will check any database they are subscribed to for your beautiful mug and then come greet you.

I do not believe OSN, per se, has facial recognition but that does not mean the data has not been moved or copied into other systems like Biometrica.

I find it interesting that the guy who professes an amazing ability to play rated, use their comps and enjoy their companionship, is now concerned about OSN. As I always counsel there are no comps or EV from the store you can not play in.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

Zee consider yourself done playing rated unless you are certain of specific property information (not a whole chain) that it's better to play on a poison name than unrated. While there are plenty of places that don't really use databases, you should assume that your name is poison, or will be shortly if you try to play somewhere between 1-? sessions rated.

Especially true in any area with a density of casinos or Indian casinos. I guess that's most of America I'm describing.

This would be a good time to quit being stubborn and heed the advice you continue to receive despite your stubbornness and refusal to accept it frequently.

Consider a name change. You will be invisible as Olaf Svensen.

Also, the casino that created your initial entry doesnt get to decide if it goes in or not and the database will just specify state or city the play occurred, other casinos may not even know what casino created your entry.

I wish I could go back to the beginning of my gambling career, even before AP'ing. I'd have NEVER gotten a players card.

Most of us have made mistakes in that regard. I know I did. We just have to learn from those goofs, and work around them.

Rated or not, in staple stores, were getting tracked regardless, and if they really want to know more about us, they have that ability.

We have. Obviously, some of us had no clue about AP back then.

And when stores like Staples asks for zip codes or other info, give them bogus info.

How do you guys deal with the issue of casinos who literally won't let you past the front desk without showing ID? A number of casinos I've scouted have required you to either show ID as a guest or become a member.

Depends on WHEATHER they're just looking or scanning. There's a local place that checks (not scan) at certain times of day, and on certain events, fwiw.

Most seem to register you as a guest, some places also photo you after this.

I was just put in OSN by Pinnacle casino in the Midwest. My mistake was not in playing rated but in mistakes I made playing rated locally for too long.

What I did was move to a city with casinos 6-7 months ago and then go to and play rated on the same day shift at about the same time 2-3 times a week at 3 casinos. I was winning, they were noticing and they probably decided to evaluate my play.

If I had to do it over again, I would manage where I play rated better (book a losing session, keep wins small, vary shifts) and also play unrated more.
