Is my math wrong? Best rules in the world and I still lost (over 3 months) ?

    Hello,

I'm in Cairo Egypt. Here they have the most generous blackjack rules I have ever seen.

    The good:

    1. Early surrender
    2. Double after splits
    3. Resplitting of Aces
    4. Dealer stays on soft 17
    5. Double any two cards
    6. Blackjack pays 3:2
    7. Dealer deals 80% of the shoe.

    The bad

    1. European rules (no hole card)
    2. No peak blackjack (The dealer doesn't peak for blackjack and therefor you will lose an entire double)
    3. 6 Deck shoe

I did the math using Wizard of Odds and came up with a positive expectation of +1.3%. I've been playing for 3 months using perfect basic strategy a la European rules, everyday for 2 hours a day. I've averaged about 100 hands per hour and I always bet minimum $5 USD. But, after three months I lost $450. In fact, I've lost consistently 9/10 days.

Again, please help me. Is my math wrong? Why am I consistenly losing? Remember I've played over 135 hours and have bet over $67,500.

I'm not using a counting system. I'm only using perfect basic strategy.

    Thank you!

I have a strange feeling that perfect basic strategy is not enough to beat this game. I've only been playing this game for 3 years. You'd better wait for the correct response from the PRO's.
    All the best

I believe the player edge 0.18%. I'm not sure how you got 1.3%. You probably just need more rounds. How fast or slow are they dealing? How many rounds per hour?

Yes. Im following BS to a T for the given rules. Ex. I never double with dealer's Ace or Ten. Interestingly with those rules I'm doubling about 5% of the time as opposed to say 20%. It's hard to win given I'm doubling so little.

Are you sure all cards are there? Casinos may take a few aces and faces in Egypt.

That absolutely crossed my mind. There are very few laws if any in Egypt.

Hey gringostar would you mind sending me a Private message as to which casinos you play at? I noticed you have PM's set to off.
