Too Low of a Spread?

I love it! Lol. The biggest spread I ever used was 100 to 1. It also happened to be my biggest session win too. I was trespassed that night, but the amount I won was far more than the EV I could have ever earned by milking them. I think my attitude that night was “I’m not leaving until I can no longer mentally function, or until someone makes me leave. Whichever comes first.” I experienced the latter after 4 hours of play that evening.

Just to clarify, that 160-1 was Dalmatians intimated soread. I've had some aggressive spreads, but not like that

My biggest spread is infinite. That is, sitting out on disadvantageous hands and betting zero.

Thank you! I read this just as I got out of a very long week of work and it made my day! 15-20$/hr?! That's great for my purposes! This card counting thing is more of a hobby for me so it's great to hear that I can afford to tip the dealers 10-15$ a session and still be making money (I tipped dealers about a third of what I made this year so far, LoL).

I do play in fairly crowded conditions, usually at least 2-3 other players at the table but sometimes more (very rare to play heads up at my store). I don't know if this affects the hourly rate you described.

The win rate per 100 hands does not change much, however, hands per hour is a huge factor in win rate.

Example - average bet of $25
2-3 players averaging 90 hands per hour equals 2250 per hour wagered at 1% advantage equals 22.50 per hour.
Heads up averaging 200 hands per hour equals $5000 per hour wagered at 1% advantage equals $50.00 per hour.
