Are the Hi-Lo Indexes in the Blackjack Verite MOBILE APP Drills the latest?

The differing versions of indexes drive me crazy. I look at the R18 (http://web.archive.org/web/200610230...cindex/r18.htm), look at the latest Wong's Professional Blackjack, and then look I look at the Verite App, and they are all (slightly) different.

I am not talking about the truncating vs. flooring differences. I'm talking substantial differences. E.g., S17, DAS: Verite App shows 8v6, 8v5, 8v4 indexes as 1, 3, and 5, respectively. Many other sources, including the R18 link above, show them to be 2, 4, and 6 respectively. These are all supposed to be EV maximizing, rather than RA indexes. What gives?

I'm skeptical of the Verite app based on its overall quality, but I believe it is created by the same publishes of the much respected software.

Are these the indexes you trust?

(CV products don't work on my computer for whatever reason, though I paid for them unfortunately =\)

Thank you for this, and the links.

Slightly troubling that the app is providing indexes a decent amount out of line..

The indices in Blackjack Verite are taken directly from Stanford's book because that's what most people use. They are not designed to be the "best". They are designed to be what the vast majority of people are used to using. Indices also vary by integerization method, remaining decks resolution, and RA vs. EV-max. And, there is no such thing as a perfect index.
