Shit load is an industry term.
Splitting 4's is only a RCH or two adjustment. (RCH another industry term, "bring that temperature up one RCH").

Credit where credit is due should be given to that individual who introduced RCH to the forum.
Thanks you Flash. You should try halves with asc.

Of course, discriminators of industry terms, including those familiar with RCH, should practice variants of said expression, including those clearly indicative of different units of measurement. BCH, and for the more mature, GCH.

Differences under a microscope are clear cut.

    RCH
    unknown

30 microns. Measured on a comparator by a physical scientist on his secretary's red c*** hair at the Defense Mapping Agency's Erskine Hall, Bethesda, MD sometime around 1980. No Shit. Your tax dollars at work.
"That RCH was yummy!" said Roy as he pulled it from his teeth.

Zee, you have too much money sitting idle. Open a money market account and put some of it to work. Interest rates are going up. You could just open an account with a few thousand and add to it every couple of months.

MP, he likely didn't declare it, ergo, to many questions to explain where it came from. I'm sure it will stay in the sdb.

Likely correct. I'm one of those that voted 30k+. The results for my max session were inline with expectation. I haven't counted cards all year.

I have never bragged about BJ. Your insecurities are showing.
Re: yearly net gain. If I played 1,000 hrs and earned $40,000 that
would equate to $40 an hour. A fraction of what I had earned as a professional person prior to 1992. A modest figure for a braggart!

There is a lot of volatility with short-term
results as even yearly results of 1,000 hrs.
are inadequate to yield meaningful conclusions.

1,000 hrs is a lot of hours for one who
resides very far from any casinos.

You mentioned the notorious (barred) KJ.
I am not about to digress, but I will only
state as follows: KJ has proven hundreds
of times that he cares not for responsible
    posting of (inconveniently) accurate information.

As far as Hi-Lo "getting the money" you are,
of course, at liberty to believe absolutely
    whatever you wish, facts notwithstanding.

Cheap shot for someone not allowed to respond.

ZMF, facts not withstanding, really, what facts are you implying exactly? I do not like the FALSE insinuations, and implications that you constantly write about. Right back at you Flash, as far as Hi-Lo "getting the money" you are, of course, at liberty to believe
absolutely whatever you wish, facts notwithstanding. I will not lower myself trying to defend against your biased opinion.

Yes MWP is worrying about where his next meal is coming from, or maybe his next 4 by 4 vehicle, other than the fact he may be a millionaire. He is a good guy, I just cannot stand his politics, which we debated for years on Wong's site, which I recently dropped out of.

A well deserved accomplishment ZMF, for a very intelligent person, who earned his money I believe in the medical field.

You act like you are/were the best card counter in the world but you were making ~$40k/year at $40/hour doing it?

Neither your pre-1992 profession nor income has anything to do with how good or bad of a card counter you are. What's the point of using your super complicated system if it's going to be used the way you use it? That was a rhetorical question. I know several VP APs who are like you. They know the perfect strategy to every game, the return to the 4'th decimal of each, all the multiplier days at each casino, and essentially a bunch of other practically useless information....and they're out making $5/hour because they're chasing pennies not dollars. Nothing wrong with that, if that's what someone wants to do.....but that person shouldn't be pretending he's the best in the world because he knows all of this essentially useless information. Go play something good instead of trying to turn something awful into something else.

Yes there is a lot of variance on a yearly basis for someone who plays 1k hours. If you're talking about yourself, this means you're implying you had "a lot of variance" and ran bad. Yet you say you consistently made something like 32-38k/year? If you consistently made such a little amount of money, I'd think it's more likely your EV was just really really low.

You can believe whatever you want about HILO, even though you're wrong. Doesn't it suck you have/had such a "great" system that's supposedly much better than HILO, yet those who use HILO make significantly more than you did, from both a yearly basis and hourly? Your results don't speak too highly of whatever system you use.

The thread above this one (uh,. Now below it...) shows definitively that hiopt2 is better than hi lo.

It doesnt (and im pretty sure Zen Flasher Mast has never said this) make you a better person to use it - it just means youre playing with more and better information which makes more money and gets a better result.

The thing is people here have this nebulous but consistent feeling/thought about their count system like it was the college they went to - like hilo ill18 is community college, zen is state school, hi opt 2 ace and 7 side count is yale and t count is Oxford rhodes scholar.

But the important thing is you can be a rhodes scholar and be broke as fuck or you can be killing it on the stock market with an associates from bumblefuck community college - the question isnt one of prestiege but of work, though, to be fair - it will be easier to make the SAME amount of money for the Rhodes Scholar than the community college dude because they will be compensated more for the same work because a great deal more effort has already been done up front - just like with the counts. Neither hilo or hiopt2 should be played until mastered - so the question of errors is a moot point and red herring - it takes longer to master hiopt2 but it shouldnt be surprising that it makes more money. You went to a better college but it doesnt make you a better person - it does mean that all else being equal you will do the same job statistically significantly better but it still doesnt make you a better person.

You are not your job, you are not your bank account, you are not your count

..you are not your fucking khakis
