Protecting Your Identity as a "Young" Counter

I'm young enough looking that I get carded at the door everywhere I go (Bars, casinos, etc.) I probably appear somewhere in the range of 22-30 or so.

I do always try to get a wristband. But, I've noticed in my local stores that even when I get a wristband at the door, sometimes I STILL have to show ID again at the table, which the pit will sometimes still check.

I've been fortunate that this hasn't happened when I've been playing bigger stakes on trips, but I bet it's only a matter of time til I have to show ID when I sit down and somehow get popped into OSN or whatever

People here talk about refusing to show ID, but I think that is mostly you old gray-hairs. I don't feel like I can refuse to show ID, right, since there's the whole legality aspect of gambling and drinking (drinking definitely a part of my cover too).

Anyone have any suggestions re: protecting my identity? Would it be better to use a passport than show my state ID? FWIW, my passport is a lot older, looks a lot different than me, but everywhere always still accepts it.

Unless you are playing big money, relax. There are folks here who have numerous back offs, are in OWN and still survive. Especially in local casinos, it's ok to play rated, get the players card, get comps for meals.

I have been playing with players card for over 3 years and only now, when I am playing $25 minimum games, that I am starting to get some counter measures. I think my life time earnings are catching up to me.

Buy in at craps. Buy a beer at craps. Bet the pass (or don't) a couple of rolls. Color up. Carry your chips and your beer to the table.

Not everyone can drive with the wife for four hours and arrive at the casino heading straight for the quarter double deck tables, and the wife heads for the rest room. Wife leaves rest room, and spots you getting out of your seat with a smile on your face, you walk over to her and say it is time to leave, I am up two hundred and I walked without playing the last hand at a TC +11. Oh, I almost forgot about the two free buffet tickets they mailed me, want to eat first. Quality family time Zee style.

I've been bounced, at least twice that I can immediately recall, from Vegas stores with a max bet of 80-.90. I've been countermeasures by others for the same range. One if them was on a card. And this was a while ago.

Zee, granted, you have holes in your game, but don't hand out bullshit like that.

Like premature ejaculation - finished before you start. Think of all those Zees that never had a chance to get started.

sad and disrespectful that you have to hijack a thread and make it about a poster instead of trying to answer the OP.

I just mentioned my experiences and its a newbie. We do not know what stakes he is playing or what his bet spread is or whether he simply wongs in at positive counts and more. Guys who have never played with a players card in decades posting about players cards is silly.

I hate to say it, but as usual, your advice was idiotic. You need to understand that you're game is substandard, so, when you give advice based on your experience, that advice will also be substandard. If you played a strong game, then, there might be more merit to your comments.

Let's say this fellow takes your lousy advice, continues to play, improving as he goes, until he becomes a feared warrior. But, he's fucked before he gets started - because he followed your idiotic advice in the beginning.

Granted, the concept may be foreign to you, but THINK.

The lifetime win comment is laughable. My lifetime win BO's came after winning more than Zee has with all his lifetime play combined. Of course each casino is different. He probably made them feel he was putting it their face by camping out or coming too often or spreading too much at DD games. Or maybe not taking the unspoken hints that he had overstayed his welcome. Often if you take the hints the casino can train you to play within tolerances. meaning after a while you won't be there long enough for them to make any non-verbal hints that it is time for you to go.

Plus low stakes AP play at DD is often not tolerated.

As I mentioned, I've been bounced and counter measured at low stakes. I didn't mention - they were all shoes.
