Today, guy at first base has a 19 with $25 bet, count is TC+4 and I have 2 x$150 and I get 10,4 and 10, 5. I insure and then loudly plead for the dealer to "Pleeeease have a BJ, I need to go home and I cant face my wife having lost $300 on one round". The guy at first base is incredulous, he says "You want the dealer to have a BJ? Dont insure those awful hands!". Dealer had a BJ, I got mt $450 (two bets of $150 and insurance of $150). I avoided looking at him.

I recall a ploppy that I knew, chastising, telling me i had to learn how to play this game when I insured 2 crap hands. Fuckem, and congratulations to you. Don't worry about hurting his feelings.

Do the right thing at the right time - that's how you win.

The above example was using an infinite deck, however, with 6 decks the odds are even better for the player because one 10 has already been removed from the shoe and this lowers the Dealers chance of having BJ.
Two aces are also gone so it is a bit of a wash.

I relay some ploppy logic whenever i get this comment. I say “i didn’t want to play that crap hand so i was hoping to get off totally free.”

    LoL
Anyone that makes a comment like the other player did is an ass. You want to piss them off so they won't play at your table again. And i don't mean because the guy is an ass.

You have to know how to do it and who to do it to. If they are getting pissed about how you play, the floor and dealers don't like them because they are blamers. They are constantly blaming the dealers. The casino employees hate them. I always get a thank you for chasing them off from the staff.

I think Three knows to not piss off big players (money makers), and tippers. Lower betting, rude stiffs are no big loss. I too avoid upsetting the tippers and big players.

The issue is you aren't dealing with a casino, you are dealing with casino employees. They don't care if the casino makes money or not. They care about their job security and having a pleasant workplace environment. You act like the employees believe it is their money when the casino wins. The ass still plays there he just doesn't play at your table. That makes dealers love it when you play their table and Floor love it when you play their pit.

You need to understand to the employees it isn't about money it is about not catching shit from superiors at their job and not having to take shit from obnoxious players at their job. If your action allows for both they will love you for it.

I once commented to a high up Suit that I didn't want to play at the table with the high rollers that landed their helicopter on the helipad on the roof anymore because I was starting to piss them off (They were betting way over the table limit as they obviously arranged a special limit just for them). She said, Not to worry about it because with that group breathing would piss them off. I left and came back later.

If you have a blackjack and try to place an insurance bet, especially if it for less, the dealer often has no idea what to do. It can be really funny.

OMG, I understand insuring for less.

What does lulz mean? The post said insuring for less to get maximum lulz.

Just play the game. If I say something it's usually a compliment. You'd surprised how often things work themselves out. Employees know they didn't sign on for a job in Mary Poppins land. You are over thinking this if you honestly believe you are making a difference.
I made a difference to that dealer that day, a different dealer the next day, a few ploppies the next, and a stray dog the following day. I cannot fix the world, or even these people's lives, but I can make this moment better. I don't run to security, but I'm not one to sit and twiddle my thumbs either.
