Recently I had finished with a multi-state


700 mile R/T and lost consciousness ‘behind


the wheel’ on a crowded highway. I survived.


I have lived on society’s fringes for so long.


Adjusting to living a gambling-free existence


is very hard for me. I have been a denizen of


the AP demiworld for a very long time.


I am a Septuagenarian.


My health is seriously compromised.


My brain functions are slipping.


I am a chronic-pain sufferer.


I must make the painful decision to retire


from blackjack and all related activities.


I have numerous (real life) friends who are A.P.’s


and not communicating with them hurts me.


The problem for me is that mentoring card


counters and networking with A P professionals


keeps me involved, and thus prevents me from


fully embracing my avocations so that I can live


through my dotage. Perhaps I can just post here


now and then, with careful editing of course.

You can still use your knowledge you acquired from AP Blackjack to coach other APs. That way you can still make a significant impact. Just don't be bias. I have taken bits of your advice and improved my edge by invented a count for myself that gives me a higher edge. Even though I didn't pursue Hi-OPT II.

We've had a lot of fun over the years. If you're not venturing out to AC and PA, I guess I'll have to visit you more often. The road trips can wear you down.
