Not worth efforts trying to defeat ASM clumpness. Just find a casino hand shuffled, still plenty of them around. Problem solved!

I can say with absolute certainty, from personal experience, that the above gibberish makes no sense at all.

There is such a proverb - never lose specially, because it will not be possible to win specially.

    For good measure.

It appears with absolute certainty that you're spilling the 'gibberish'.

I think many have found the Uptimate Gambit to give up too much EV for what it’s worth.

This is all depending on what a player believes in. And I have seen ploppies stand a lot when cards appear clumped and irregularly. Then these ploppies outperform AP and Basic Strategy players at the table at that moment. The question is if you can put it on a formula or identify it in early stage of a shoe.
controversially , but I see this way more times than i statistically should, and i believe in this is some unmeasured undefined amount.

Likely a person who is counting but doesn't play properly.

Also it's possible he just got "lucky" and was betting big when count was up and asked you not to join. Don't know how many times you've seen him playing and this has happened, but even with 2 or maybe 3 samples, I'd say that's still entirely possible.

Another is that he's laying down good cover in situations where the EV won't make his game negative. I don't know how bad not hitting a 14v7 is or some of those other hands, but if you have a super massive spread, I can see how playing really poorly with small bets out would be useful for cover while not giving up too much to make the entire play -EV. Who knows, maybe the guy would be making $5k in EV if playing optimally and is giving up $2500 or even $4000 in EV, overall, he'd still be playing a +EV game. I'd say this is the least likely scenario by a mile, but I also haven't observed the guy play nor do I know the fine math (like how bad it is to stand on 14v7 or whatever) to make a better judgement.

Not particularly related but kinda related and funny (at least it was to me). I was playing a VP progressive with a teammate and only one other guy was playing it, but he was drunk out of his mind, was playing one of the worst games to play for the progressive, and frequently left that machine to go play slots. I decided to have some fun with the situation, so I told my teammate something like, "Hey, you see that guy over there? He's a really big AP and throws down on the biggest plays, massive bankroll, etc. But he also doesn't like to get thrown out of places, so he likes to play with a bunch of cover." He wasn't actually an AP, btw. My friend said oh yeah, that makes sense, give up some EV so you can play longer without getting thrown out. So for the next few hours I kept telling my friend made-up stuff about the guy, the amount of cover he uses, absurd amounts of EV he gives up in order to continue playing (like he'll give up $90k in EV to make back $100k in EV, profiting $10k in EV). Finally my friend figured out I was just making stuff up about the guy....my stories were getting pretty ridiculous and I could hardly keep from laughing at the absurdity.....and the guy was SOOO drunk, I think he was putting money into the machine next to him and couldn't figure out why he didn't have any credits and he went to the ATM several times and he started to cause a ruckus too.
