Question: Specific settings Norm used for CVCX Simulations from his archives...

Hello. I am a beginner who just started using CVCX (demo yet) to calculate the odds I am gonna play at the local casino.

First, on the CVData, I tried to set all the configurations correctly according to the casino's BJ rule (although it took me
long time to understand all the setting/options), and "called CVCX" to compare the odds with the odds calculated by
Norm's CVCX simulation from his archives. (it seems that I cannot check out the specific CVData setting Norm used
    for his CVCX simulation).

Because my calculated SCORE from CVCX through CVBJ is quite different from the SCORE from Norm's simulation:
Ex. I tried to configure all settings equal (such as table rules, penetration, betting options, bankroll, and counting strategy:
For HiLow Full indices, my calculated SCORE was ~30 and Norm's simulation's SCORE was ~20.

Ultimately, I am trying to compare and find out which is better for my local casino's BJ rules:
"HiLow Full Indices" vs. "RPC Full Indices" for

    6-Deck
    Paid 3 to 2
    DOA
    RSA
    Stand on all 17s
    Late Surrender
    Penetration about ~65-70%
    Minimum Bet: $10
    Bankroll: $5000.
No surveillance (free to count/wong - I am in Korea)

Does anyone know the specific setting Norm used for his "HiLo Full Indices - 07-05-21" CVCX simulation? I'm talking
about the setting tabs on CVData such as "Setup", "Betting (strategy)", and "TC Calc."

Thank you!...I am studying really hard for this lol

Can you post the two screenshots of results?

I thought I understood what you are looking for but then you say you want to know if hilo or RPC will perform better on a 6D shoe. If that's what you want, I don't need to run a sim to know RPC will outperform hilo.

I may be wrong about this, but I would assume that the canned simulations in CVCX conform to the SCORE constraints as outlined in BJA3 chapter 10. These constraints spell out the exact benchmark conditions which were used to create the SCORES in the book and which are part of the definition of an official SCORE (as opposed to c-SCORE). Among these constraints are the bankroll ($10k), number of indices in use (I18+fab4), number of players to the right of the key player and most importantly, the penetration.

For what it's worth, when I was trying to reproduce CVData+CVCX results using my own software, it took a while and some help from Norm before I was able to reverse engineer all of the nuances of the simulation settings. In addition, the sims were done a long time ago and Norm didn't always remember what exact settings were used.

I posted the screenshots of 1) my CVData tabs for HiLo Full Indices + 2) my final result I called CVCX from the CVData for HiLo.

I just need someone to scan over my CVData tabs if I selected and understood all tab options correctly according to the
casino rules written above... I paid for subscription hopefully to get some info out of it, but I couldn't

Would you be able to scan over em if I didn't make major mistake?

    Thank you!...

I would need to see the CVCX screen that shows the results for both.

    A couple of things:

-Multiple draw after ace split would not have been on
-Insure BJ only would not have been on.

Do you mean this result? This is my CVCX Result called from CVData (only HiLo)

What do you mean by "both"? If you are talking about the CVCX Result for RPC,
I only changed the "Playing (strategy)" from Complete HiLo to RPC Full Indices,
so I didn't bother posting it.

That's the same one. You said you got two different answers. I need to see both.

Oh I was comparing 'that' one with yours from the archive! I compared 'that' with your HiLo Full Indices simulation from the archive, here:
    Norms HiLo Full Indices.jpg

Yours simulation result seems to change (variation) for every trial, but I just wanted to check
if I reproduced yours similarly with correct CVData tab settings.

Do you think I reproduced your simluation quite correctly?

The results change with every trial because you're only running 400 million rounds. In addtion to the two changes I mentioned, the penetration is different between the two sims. Also, did you have full indices checked on the Attach a Strategy screen?

Oops, I forgot to keep the penetration constant for both.

Yes, I used the "Old Complete High-Low" by Stanford Wong for Playing Strategy, which had all full indices.

Other than these in addition to two previous points (that your simulation had not "insurance on BJ only" on and "multiple draw after split aces"on), do you think my CVData is aight?
