New Member - most curious question: Which betting system to use?...

Hello, my name is Ryan from South Korea.

There are few legal casinos here where only international guests are allowed. The blackjack rules for this casino are as following:

    6-Deck
    Paid 3 to 2
    DOA
    RSA
    Stand on all 17s
    Late Surrender
    Penetration about ~%70
    Minimum Bet: $10
Bankroll: $1000, but I am able to stretch it upto $5000.

I'm a beginner, but I mastered Hi-Lo counting strategy and memorized Advanced Strategy with all full indexes playing Counting
game applications on my phone (haha..).

    1. Which betting system should I use? Positive/or Negative progression? Which specific one?
    2. At which high True Count should I start applying the specific betting system?

    Thank you So much!!

Asking which count to use is like asking whether God exists: It will invite only the hard-liners who are stuck in their ways. Only they have the correct answer. Devolves from debate into fighting.

Only you can decide what is best for you. If you want High-Low, use High-Low. If you want to use KO, Zen, HI-OPT II, RPC, Halves, Silver Fox, <other publicly available count>; then that is up to you. Use the count that offer the best for you in:

    1. Expected value based on the game(s) that are available
    2. Use without any errors in action or betting.

Let's say you wan to use HO2. You can still use the ASC, but it is much harder in a shoe than with 1/2 packs of cards.

As per your other questions: Get the Casino Verite suite to help you answer all your questions. Also, get Wong's "Professional Blackjack" and Don Schlesinger "Blackjack Attack". Both will help you answer some basic questions about counting. If you want to expand your knowledge a bit farther: Peter Griffin's "Theory of Blackjack" is the prime book for any serious player who wants to know the intricacies of the game of 21.

You have a very small bankroll for the game. My advice- only Wonging. On other questions you will get an answer here-

If you know hi lo with indices than you have a (marginal) chance of making some money on your hail mary bankroll. This will most likely be a thousand dollar learning experience but if you want a betting "system" just scale your bets with the true count. TC 0 min bet TC 1 = $20 TC 2 = $30 etc.. or scale it down TC 1 = $15 TC 2 = $20 etc..
either way your risk of ruin will be like 99% but stranger things have happened.

Most everyone here will say both: your bankroll isnt big enough and that you need to study more and, while thats true, you will also find a lot of good players who have made some substantial money started out this exact same way - under-funded and over-motivated, and, through sheer luck, managed to skirt the rocks of ruin into the clear waters of positive variance.
If you dont need the money for like kidney medication or whatever and you know how to count, deck estimate, true count and all indices then just wong in at positive counts with a small betting ramp and see what happens.
If you have fun and learn something you will win no matter what happens

    Lots of luck, brophistopheles

Hes asking how to bet - not how to count - and while his question imply that he has both learning and UNlearning to do. If he can count perfectly with good index play he should be alright with wonging and a very minimum spread.
wonging means to backcount the shoe and only actually sit down and bet when the true count gets to at least + 1 but in your case +2 would probably be ideal

Yes...thank you all for your input but I would like to know "which betting system ex. Oscar, Martingale, etc" to use...
Or should I use a conventional one like
    TC 0: 1 unit
    TC +1: 1unit
    TC +2: 2unit
    and so on?

    Thanks again

Do NOT use a martingale. Use the conventional "betting ramp" (the mathematically optimum way to bet) and never use any "system"

Thank you for actually answering the question when no one has yet...:P haha

What is the reason not to use any of the "systems" - is this always, or is this because I'm a beginner and I have low bankroll or sth?

Systems are good for two things: selling books and losing money
Even saying the word "martingale" means your either a noob or scam artist
