Yes. Dr. B, the casino website entitles the game that you described as "Las Vegas Blackjack" and states
    (verbatim) "Bust pays 5:2"

That is a so-called "free bonus" You are certainly not betting that the dealer will bust. The dealer bust is
too infrequent to matter, especially when it is in the context of a game that pays 6/5 on BJ's!

I guess that you are confusing 5/2 with 5/1. The latter is the payoff on that bogus BlackJack bonus.
If any suited pair, not just two specific cards, are paid 2/1, (as it is in occasional promotions in the USA),
then the bonus payoff improves the House Edge by 2.36/4 = 0.69% ! and that is a BIG BONUS!

Remember ~ you receive 5-2 IF your hand has not yet busted.

Seems like that would be a countable side bet. Especially for a Ace Neutral count with side counted Aces.

zero when paying just 6/5. In Spanish21
it pays 3/2, 2/1 or 3/1, depending upon
whether the 7's are unsuited, suited, or
spaded, and that averages out to be a
payoffof about 8/5. 6/5 is equivalent to
a 20% bonus while 8/5 is the equivalent
    to a 60% bonus gain!

A dealer bust pays 6/5 BUT playing
    heads-up the dealer bust percentage
    is markedly decreased for obvious
reasons. Overall, the dealer bust rate
approximates 28%, but you are not
    gaining anything when you bust.
IF you modify your play to reduce the
chances of your busting your game will
completely go to hell. Send me a postcard.

As far as the 5-1 BJ payoff on (just) the
Ace-Jack of Spades goes, considering that of
all of your BJ's, 1/4 will involve the Spaded Ace
but only 1/16th will be with the Spaded Jack.
Multiplying the two variable's frequencies we
come to 1/4 X 1/16 or once in every 64th BJ.
Now we see that BJ's will occur about 4% of
the time, or once in every 22 hands. But NOW
we come to the (sad) conclusion that the bonus
of a 5-1 payoff to a random player will be paid
out to the (gullible) players once per every 22
hands X 16 = once in every 352 hands. If playing
with a typical dealer you'll see from 80 to 120 per
hrs. but in an online game, this will be faster, so
using 100 hands per hour, you'll have seen this
payoff once per 3.6 hrs. During that time you'd
expect to see the 6/5 payoffs on about 15 hands.
You will be gaining 3.5 units [once] for the evening
and be losing 0.3 units X 18 hands [6/5 payoffs] for
    a loss of 5.4 units. 5.4 -3.5 = 1.9 units for the session
compared to the full pay (3/2) payoff for BJs.
    Nice Post Zen..Well done..
