A ploppy and his modfied Basic Strategy

I saw this ploppy a lot and he seems to be a winner every time at my table. First, he only plays at the suspicious clumping ASM table casino. However, he seems to find a way for ploppies to increase EV. His simple modification is to hit all 12 when his hand doesn't contain a face card. He said ASM clump the same card in a group. As long as not hitting a face card, 12 and another card will be safe. (This also implies that he hit every multiple card 12 against 2/3/4/5/6. And he also hit 13 against 2/3/4/5/6 as long as his hands doesn't contain a face card or a nine card based on the same theory.) I like being at his table. His play makes my index play much easier. The worst for me is to play with a table full of Basic Strategy experts who make a big deal on plays deviated from BS. So I encourage him talking other ploppies into hitting 12 against not just 2 and 3, but 4, 5 and 6. Even if clumping turns out to be not true, it really hurts little for him based on the history I saw. Actually I think this ploppy win more hands than me. I just win more on max bet hands. So next time when some ploppy ask you why you hit 12 against 4, tell him someone told you you should hit 12 as long as it contains no face card and it is a good advise from whom won at BJ table.

I'm thinking of adding "clumping" to the banned words list.

I never said I am absolutely right on clumping. I always claim the theory could be true or false. It is just a theory.

Just an hour ago, I had a a pair of 2's I split eventually ending up with four 2's in front of me against a 7, got another 2 that they did not let me split, dealers had a 2 under hisc7, lost all 4 bets. 6 2's came out early on a 6 deck shoe. Later, in the same shoe, I ended up with pair of 8's versus an 8, ended up with four 8's in front of me, dealers 8 made five 8's. Luckily, I ended with two aces (for 19's), a 3 that I doubled for a 21 and another 10. Dealer had a 10 under so one push and 4 bets won.

All shuffled by an ASM. What odds that six cards are 2's in about 10 cards dealt and five 8's in about 13 cards dealt. What clumping..

Once had 2 hands of 99 v dealer 2, each hand Split to 4 hands. With a double or 2, there was a chunk of dough on the table. Had lots crap hands out there. Fortunately, dealer had the good grace to bust. Shit happens.

Once I had a max bet of $200 out there and caught a pair of sixes against a 5. I split them, and pulled another six, and then another. Eventually I'd split my sixes four times. I pull a fifth six which I can't split. Proceed to grab an 8 on every other six. That's three eights, for three hands of 14, and a hand of 12. All those eights which would have made dealer 21's. Anyhow, a nice weak $800 on the layout. Dealer pulls a 7 and then another 6.

Minutes later. In the same heavily positive deck, I split eights in the same long drawn out manner of resplits and a few doubles, and lose to a dealer 3 card 21.
The shoe cost me a few thousand overall. A great day to have been testing out an increased spread due to an enlarged bankroll.

You more than likely lost another enlargement that day.

usually I'm not in the mood after a losing session. Recently I'm enjoying effects of taking the mind off the game.

"Ooo Yay, I get to reevaluate my ramps--Oh wait, nevermind." Overly helpful scumbag cards always be like, "you above EV? Here, let me fix that." Hate when that happens.
