General Health interest not blackjack related

For those of you with chronic conditions, including, lungs, heart arthritic, kidney , etc. Etc etc.

Started a new excercise program this morning. It is sponsored by our Provincial Health Care Board. The 8 week program, 3 times per week is designed to encourage healthy excercise habits, with a view fir the individual to continue past the program expiration in the private sector.. It us like a CSM, shuffling in new recruits every 2 weeks, shuffling out graduating recruits at the same rate.

What is interesting is that the overseer, so to speak, is a kinesologist with respiratory and physical therapists in attendance. You must be referred into the program, which I was by my family Dr., with my cardiologist okaying my involvement, listing his parameters. The program us customized to the individual. The program includes blood pressure and glucose levels both prior and after the excercise session. .

I mention this, for those elsewhere in Canada, that like origrams are available in other Provincial jurisdictions, as well as a mention to our US and overseas friends that such origrams are available. I thought it went well, catering to limitations, and will report further, as time goes on, if there is interest.

    In Search of the Miraculous:

    Freightman
    ...

I recommended finding a McKenzie certified Physical Therapist.

I have had low back pain since a serious accident 60 years ago.

My Physical Therapist showed me the base exercises/postures and ~

instant CURE. It was surreal. I went from chronic pain to being almost

100% Pain-Free in a moment. 54 years ago, the Selective Service Admin.

declared me 4-F (permanently unfit for military duty). In recent years I have had

spinal injections, a high-end T.E.N.S. Unit and massive doses of Oxycontin, etc. I

had been considering spinal surgery (fusion, rhizotomy, etc.) in recent years.

Now I can enjoy walking my dogs!

Note: Kinesiology is no more than a pseudo-science, with many so-called practitioners

    ........
being chiropractors. Naturally, there is no licensure for this low-paying profession.

Have started to read your email. The program that I'm in is geared for long term health benefits, continuing in some fashion after the 8 week program expires. I rake the spinal injections, cortisone which helps a lot in one area, and totally misses the other. I avoid the narcotics.

I still have to find a iractitioner for what's mentioned in your email, assuming if course, that's a way I want to go forward. Thanks for the info, refpgardless if what I decide.

I also had success with the McKinzie method 10 years ago though it took a lot of work over 3 months to get to pain free. I had two bulging disc in the lumbar spine that caused sciatica pain in my left leg. I still do the exercises whenever there is a flare up.

More recently I've had issues with the cervical spine and have done some exercises in this book from McKenzie. It's tough to find a physical therapist certified in this Method in my area, but my spine doctor agrees this is the best method for relieving pain caused from pinched nerves.

Pinched Nerves a la sciatica is not the only reason for learning the McKenzie

Method and strengthening your "core" (abdominal muscles) as well.
