Then overall people here would not at all play online blackjack? I know there may be only a few actually legitimate places that won't steal your money just because of their sketchy locations. But for some reason when playing on them with their own money I actually end up getting up really high and playing better than I do with the dealers in person. Maybe the environment or the fact that $1 bets are easier to take big hits on.

Ie you have say positive 3 at end round 1 but still 5 decks. Doubt you'd want to bet the farm yet?
Indeed. With a running count of +3 and five decks remaining you would have a TC of .5 and even under a pretty liberal rule set the house would still have the edge. At TC +1 you will start to have an advantage usually and depending on the size of your bankroll may wish to increase your bet modestly. As the true count continues to increase, so does your wager and in a corresponding fashion.

There are actually some beatable live dealer blackjack games online but usually these opportunities pale in comparison to live brick and motor casinos. But at this early stage of your development these concerns about where to play are premature. The first step is learning how to beat the game. In particular you need to begin by perfectly memorizing basic strategy.

This is actually a very easy thing to do. All you have to do is play this basic strategy trainer :

    https://www.blackjackinfo.com/blackj...ategy-trainer/

This game informs you when you make a basic strategy mistake and gives you an opportunity to make the correct decision. So play it until you do not make any basic strategy mistakes. Once you have done this (it should take about 1 to 2 hours) you will be ready to move on to step 2, some drills to teach you how to count.

Wonderful thanks for that info. So how do you guys do it if you enter a game that in session. Surely everyone doesn't wait until the end of a shoe. Looking all suspicious lol Anyway has anyone had success with the KO system ? It seems easier but less accurate although you automatically start with -20 at 6 decks. Just curious.

You mentally put the cards that already been dealt behind the cut card. So if you enter when there is already two decks dealt, then every time you look at the discard tray to determine how far into the shoe you are, you mentally subtract two decks. AFAIK it really doesn't matter what reputable counting system you use, KO performs on par with Hi Lo. I strong recommend the use of a simple level one system such as KO or Hi Lo.

I recommend KO and the reading of "Blackjack Color" (Daniel Dravot).

Why not just suggest either reading Dr. Wong's book or Norms to start. Much easier than explaining all of it here.

Well it is easier I agree and now that you've mentioned the books I will read them. Thank you for that information.

I've heard of this I'll read these books as you've all suggested. Amazing thank you guys for the massively helpful feedback. It's difficult to disseminate which book or what to go with that isn't some ludicrous half baked scheme or just some complete fail of a strategy. Thanks again.

Good glad to know. As I practice I'll figure which one will suit my way of thinking.
