First let me compliment you for a very thoughtful post, that really deserves many responses with varying opinions.

A professional and most very serious, and knowledgeable players, "if they are what they claim to be" are never chasing money, "that is in the past tense, water over the dam" he/she understands all off the different variables they will encounter. They trust the math, and their skill, are not superstitious, and deal with any and all situations logically. Why the hell not, they play like a well oiled machine, whose primary concerns are, to make sure they are not being cheated, heat, conditions, and their current physical readiness.

No two people are the same, subsequently there will be exceptions to every different category, and ultimately nature takes its natural course. Because you are right there is a very fine line that separates the two groups.

What's up? Suffering to variance lately?

    It might be not variance.

Once we get into ad hominem attack mode, threads become a waste of time. I come here for thoughtful exchanges of information, strategy, and some cursory examination of theory.

If I wanted to witness exchanges of testosterone, I suspect I could easily find online venues catering to those interests.

P.S. - Please do not reply by posting links to youtube videos or raunchy websites.

No. It seems obvious to anyone with a brain that they are the 2 possibilities. Either way it is totally idiotic to pursue the topic. The last straw was when you are stupid enough to tell casinos YOU have found a way to gain a 15% edge over players from YOUR research after already stating you think there is no way they would get caught if they cheated. You talk about totally stupid and self defeating topics and they all pale by comparison to your years long campaign to encourage casinos to cheat. I suggest you delete the comment on how much the casinos introducing cooler decks into the game can gain them. It is actually far greater than that and proven decades ago. Go find your brain and think about the consequences of the paranoid theories you have for getting your ass kicked as is normal from time to time. When people believe they are being cheated they don't learn why they are actually losing because they don't try to understand what else is going on. The only suspicious activity I have heard about was from dealers I know that work at the AC Borgata. They say since M-life took over the games have become very tough to beat and believe the ASM's are to blame. I think that the big tippers don't like the new ownership and stopped playing there so the tips tanked causing the dealers to believe that people aren't winning due to the relationship between players winning and tipping.

T3, are you saying ASM's cannot be programmed? Or are you saying casinos will not do it? I have observed where they tested an ASM by removing 3 random cards and read off the random cards they removed From the window on that particular ASM (not all ASM's have window on top). While I don't think MGM does Program ASM's, I believe that there are casinos out there where some programming exists.

If you read what I said, I thought the dealers were blaming a decline in tips due to big tippers choosing not to play there anymore or less frequently on the ASM's. The only thing suspicious I am aware of is the red light on one machine being disabled. It didn't recognize it shuffled a deck with over a half dozen cards the wrong side up. It did make playing easier when you know the hole card or the next card a bunch of times. The question is, why is the red light disabled while the Floormen try to act like everything is fine. At that point they should be hand shuffling until they replace the machine.

If you could prove the ASM's are rigged the casinos would have to return all the losses the players had while the ASM was being used and eat all the casino losses to players that won. It would be a many month free roll for all the rated players. Do you think casinos would risk that. So the casino won a record amount for the last 4 months with that ASM but now the casino have the correction from gaming that returns all the money lost by the losing players transforming it to the biggest losing run in the history of the casino. Then after that the fines would be egregious. You are looking at the way to turn a cash cow into a disaster that could even cost the casino their license after the millions in lost revenue plus outrageous fines. I know the casinos are often run by idiots but who is that stupid. What is going on is selective memory. Once you look for something you see it everywhere even if it is happening at the normal rate. The other part of what happens to people is the self fulfilling prophesy. You believe something is happening so you unconsciously alter behavior in a way that makes the outcome more likely.

Only joints that would possibly contemplate "fixing" their ASM's through hack programming, would be the self-regulating (maening no regulation) native american tribal casinos. They have no one to answer to other than their tribal courts. Good luck bringing a claim against their casinos to their tribal elders.

That only holds true if they are on tribal land. Many are not on tribal land. If it is on US land who owns and operates it makes no difference. They may be afforded extra leeway until it is challenge. For that reason the tribal casinos getting the extra leeway on US land don't want disputes to get to the point it costs them the extra leeway in the future.

First, people or corporations commit crimes because they feel they can get away with it, not what the punishment might be if caught. Second, an ASM does not have to be fixed and remain fixedv24 hours a day, it can be programmed for short periods as felt necessary. Third, there are all kinds of examples of "fixing" (Say Volkswagen) where someone might get caught but they have assessed the risk, that the earnings would far exceed the damages they may pay, if and when they are caught. Far too many never get caught.
