Of course not, because you bet according to your ramp and the count. But no matter how many times people give this person advice they come back without any foundation to build on.
Agreed that BJA3 is way too much book for someone just starting. I'm a bit fan of Renzy but I'm sure BBiBJ is great too.
If you make the dealer's job hard, they are more inclined to rat on you. I saw one counter be extremely rude to the dealer. As soon as they left the table the dealer called the pit over and ratted the other counter out. Another time, I was playing near this super annoying counter. He had a very grating voice and wouldn't shut up. He had rainbow bets all over the place. Was about the only time this place backed anyone off. Right after it happened, I looked at the pit boss with scared eyes wondering if I should quickly bug out myself. She told me, "don't worry hun, we like you, you're not annoying."

Good point Fenix. Ive seen dealers put up with a lot of crap as long as the player continues to hand over money. The very nature of the game is enough to put someone, with the patience of Jobe, on edge. These dealers work 8 hours a day 5 days a week 50 some weeks a year. Some even work two shifts or at another casino during peaks. Of course most our counting. What else is there to do? Except yammer.
They all head the same direction for breaks. I've noticed people love to talk about their jobs. So if you do the math, bads words will spread much faster about bad people than good words about good people.
Most dealers, like anyone else, are trying to stay on good terms with their bosses (of course there are always exceptions). Recently raised my bet to my max and hit a BJ, dealer whispered something to PB at the computer console. A few minutes later raised to half my max and hit another BJ and dealer said something to PB again, then PB stood there and watched the game. So I started looking at my watch and colored up and left at the end of the deck. Then later on, I was sitting at another table and another player had a streak of bad cards and tapped out, and left the table cursing MF etc. When PB passed by, the dealer said something to the effect of do you want to put some more notes in the computer on Yosemite Sam (the guy did have a resemblance). I wonder what my nickname is -- Grandpa Munster?
"Hi, what i been doing is
Lets say i surrender the hand at +4, then i would put surrender money on top of my next hand if count still postive.
Am i doing the right thing?"
At least you have stopped directing your serious questions to the pros, there is no need to, just ask the board. You need to realize you are a beginner starting from scratch. From the indication of your questions all of your previous casino experience has NOT helped you learn anything valuable in any way. All it has done is cost you a lot of money. Until you are absolutely clear, and know the answers to all the basic questions you been asking, you need to understand that it is people like yourself that keep the casinos in business.
