If you're worrying about card counters in this game, consider this:, using a perfect wonging approach where you wong-in at TC >= +4 and wong out at TC <=+3, you'll play about 4% of the rounds and the SCORE will range from 7.8 (flat-betting) up to a whopping 13.1 (using a 1-20 spread), and that's as high as the SCORE can go regardless of spread.

In fact, I'd offer this game as stadium blackjack at my casino where all the cards played would be shown on the big screen. That would sucker in the wannabe counters who think they can play the game at an advantage.
Not to mention I was dealing the game too. So if there were any suspected counters, which would be a complete waste of time, I would have known. I had dared my customers to count the game. None of them knew the significance of the 6/5. Some of them that H17 was better for them.

This is interesting... it follows a similar vein (in marketing) as the displays over Roulette tables showing which numbers are "hot" and "cold" (of course, the main difference is the BJ count would be of actual value). Many ploppies would do a touch of research and see they should bet big whenever the count is positive. And away their limited trip bankroll goes thanks to terrible rules and variance. Of course, some would walk away with some nice wins (that others would see!) and no doubt come right back next week. All of them would probably have difficulty wonging out for the same reason they have difficulty leaving other tables when they know they should. People sit down at the high count and stay for the low counts and terrible rules. (Plus, people might even compete for seats and sit down before the count is even positive).

When they feel ready to try their counting skills against one of the other games without the display (since they've had a couple hours of practice with the display lol)... then they'll be truly screwed.

I'm fascinated by this and would be unsurprised to see it implemented in the next few years.

Adding onto my last post, another side effect of such a trend would be an immense amount of cover for real Advantage Players. Suddenly many ploppies start to look like APs, or at least start following the basics of AP in terms of trying to spread bigger and time it well, while actually dumping their money into the casino's coffers. So all that a real AP has to do is look like a ploppy trying to use what he/she learned from the Acme HiLo Count Display 5000! I was worried at first it would mess up the environment for true APs, but after pondering it more, it might be pretty great for us. :-P
