I agree completely that poker has unique variance vs. blackjack, but I think you underestimate the damage of being in a database/flyer. Once you're on a be on the lookout list, you're pretty much done in many places for blackjack for like 6 months- you'll get picked off at new places before even walking in. You take the time to scout out the place and then book a trip there, and you get picked off before you even enter the door to the casino (true story for me I was picked off walking from the parking lot)- think of all the expenses and time you just wasted.

But with poker, you'll never get banned and not be able to play.

The casinos love poker players, they rake every pot all day long.

In blackjack the players are all wagering against the house "a corporation"who makes all the rules, has the eye in the sky, sets minimum, and maximum bets, and if you appear to be any good will shut you down.

It's easier when the victim is a corporation or a business, sad when you are taking advantage of lesser beings and almost inhumane when the victim is playing with money that pays the roof over his spouse and babies. Bj AP's victims are bigger than the AP and thus it's David vs. Goliath, Poker victims are weaker.
