Its the persona you project that allows one to bet with impunity and get away with it.
If you look and act like a real gambler you can do want you want and get away with it.
Obviously when your money is on the table you are betting with the count and hitting or standing or doubling or splitting properly
Don't you get it ? this is cover 101

These days, everyone counts, even ploppies. All they know is to bet more when a count is positive. They just play BS, no deviations. The casino and the Pit know that most of the losers also count. So, identifying a card counter is not in itself a reason for the pit guys to get excited about. What they are looking for is whether you are using appropriate deviations, an obvious ramp, (if you are betting $50 at TC2 and $40 at TC4, you are an idiot card counter) betting higher with higher counts, spread, max bet and basically whether you are capable of beating them.

The casino challenge is to distinguish between the good card counters liable to hurt them and the ploppy who counts. I bet about 75% of ploppy AP players have found out by their 2nd or 3rd trip to a casino about card counting From the massive number of on line resources, you tube etc.

Once they identify you with your scan upon entry into the casino at one of the casino choke points, what difference does to make if you play rated or not. They can call you Joe Smith or 01000110101011. It doesn't matter either way because they have identified you either by your name or the binary tag they assign to your face. The face becomes the ID, everything else is moot.

Facial recognition can be beaten. I am not going to say how on an open forum, research it for more info.

My grandpa always said that I had a face that people would want to forget. I hope he was right.

There's a big difference between being recognized and being positively identified. That difference can be worth a lot of money. They aren't going to take any action against you if they aren't certain. They may use countermeasures to change your game and they will probably do anything they can to get an ID, but those things don't necessarily kill the game.

If the facial recognition software thinks I look familiar, that's fine with me.
If a floorman is pretty sure he recognizes me, kudos to him for being on the ball.
If a pit boss pulls up a "refused name" file with a picture that looks like me, I'm not worried yet.
If a shift manager notices that my playing style is suspiciously similar to a guy who beat them last month, that's cool.

If the EITS pulls up a file with my photo, full name, address, license plate(s), confirmed playing history, SSN and OSN listing, the play is over.

If there is any doubt, I still get paid. For a little while at least. Long enough to pay for gas anyway.

Facial recognition is here. FBI buddy of mine says it is VERY good for them, but the lower end units that the casinos will buy are a few yrs behind. Stealth, my bet is you were flyered in your recent example. Same thing happened to me at a lower tier MGM PROP. I had a BO a day earlier at Hard Rock and my guess is they flyered me. I played at other more upscale MGM shops with no issues. I think, overall , you are correct in saying newer casinos (MGM harbour in MD) will be up to date with the latest software. Hell even face book has FR software built in that will id friends in pics. So anyway, I agree with you on your premise about it. Keep playing and we shall see what happens long term.

Anyone who thinks facial recognition is the end of advantage play or is already working (and working well) in casinos need to consider why the statement above is entirely, 100% backwards. Facebook has the most advanced facial recognition software available. It is for that reason it will not be effective in casinos for a long time.
