    I have. Granted, a lot of it is over my head, but surely higher covariance in higher counts is a bad thing? Wouldnt that outweigh playing 1 spot with a 50% smaller bet?

    The cut card is usually placed about a deck in, so it would be at least 80%+ penetration on an 8D game. Some lazy dealers even cut less off, like half a deck. Experienced dealers will cut the standard 2 off.
