    A of Spades / J of spades blackjack 4 to 1 bonus

This is how the rule works:

If player gets a Blackjack composed of an Ace and a J, both of spades, he gets paid INMEDIATELY (before dealer takes any action and regardless of the upcard) 4 times his bet.

The blackjack remains in play, which means he could then be paid the normal 3:2 payout or tie if dealer also gets a blackjack.

    2 questions regarding this situation

    1) What would be the effect on the house edge? Game is 6 decks.

    2) Considering it is a low chance occurrence, would you still add the result of question 1 into your edge for your betting ramp in a counting game?

    Thanks in advance

Paying 4 X is enough to excite me, given deep pen'.

Side-Counting those two cards is easily do-able.

Of course, if the penetration is sufficiently deep, then on the rare occasions

that both cards are in (significant) surplus, it could be countable enough for

the Card Counter to bolster his True Count, perhaps by +1 or +2 or +3.

Aces & Faces to Ya' and the best of luck in hitting this bonus on a large bet.

1/26 * 1/51 roughly or once in every 1326 hands.

    .0754%

$5 wager returns 1.5 cents or + .33% advantage for the player?

I wouldn't get distracted by it. How's the pen? If it's a decent game without the bonus, then it's slightly better with the bonus. If it's a lousy game, the bonus won't make it playable.

That would be for single deck. 1 in 1352 for infinite decks. changes to .0739%. not much difference. Need to subtract out 1.5 to 1 payout. difference is 2.5 X .0739 = .185%

    I'm getting 1 in 1347.66.

    12/312 * 6/311

Base house edge decreases by 4/1347.666 = 0.2968%.

Not sure how this effects your overall edge given you're card counting.
