The Ilani Casino recently opened at La Center Washington-anyone familiar with it yet? Number of 6 deck shoe games? Rules, etc? Thanks!
6d S17 DAS 3:2 with variable cutoffs. 2 dealers about 1.1, 1 about 1.5. A couple observations of other tables appeared closer to 1 than 1.5. No where near 2. $5 min all over the place.
This is a ridiculously good house.
Total blackjack games in the dozens. It did seem like they would close tables as crowd thinned.
Lots of good games here, i've been half a dozen times.
I'm a new counter and its been a great place to practice live because lots of the dealers are brand new and move slowly. These new dealers also tend to cut pretty deep - 1 to 1.5 is typical. This is probably going to be more of an annoyance to the experienced here. Most games are $10 min, I've only seen $5 games on slow weekdays. It does have the best rules in the NW.
The whole place feels very unorganized still, lots of new dealers, short staffed, and big crowds. If the back of the house is as competent as the front I think APs will have some longevity here.
In my vast experience I have noted casinos may begin as (virtual) "Candy Stores"
as the newly minted dealers make frequent errors. After a month or so, they may
be reclassified (by me) as "honeypots" ... Casinos that are comfortably profitable.
That may last for as long as a year or more, but I estimate a modal 3 to 6 months.
During these early stages I will be contacted by several of students living in the area
chirping to me about how s/he has found the Yellow Brick Road. They then are to be
hearing my ~ "There ain't no heat, until there is." periodically. That is, until the time
that they call me to say that they have been 86'd.

New casinos have dealers that make mistakes but they are also slow as molasses. You are lucky to get 40 rounds/hour. New casinos always try to get some experienced dealers but that doesn't necessarily mean they will be fast. New casinos tend to be packed with gamblers until either they lose their disposable money or going gets old and less appealing. This just contributes to the slow game.
