How to find a good mentor?

Hello i am new to this and i have been reading and reading. The problem is there is so much info out there it gets a little confusing. So Im looking for a good mentor to help guide me as i learn. I learn quickly and efficiently from reading and studying on my own. But i have always found it nice to have someone i can trust for correct info and guidance when i need it. The problem is its not like i can run out and join a local BJ association in my area and find one. So it leaves me to the internet. I found this Forum and have read through a lot stuff before i even joined and i no there is a wealth of knowledge on here. So if anyone could maybe make some suggestions or wants to offer to help me out that would be great. Thanks

    Hey there ubet!

    Glad you found this forum.

A little about me: I have been playing blackjack since I was around, oh, much younger? Anyway, My action sucked bad as a player/ploppy. Started looking around, found a simple system, KO, learned basic strategy, applied it, and won me some money! Things were great until I took it too far and got myself backed off 3 times in one day. My win rate, come to find out, was less than the state minimum wage and I was NOT choosing good games.

I inquired about enhancing my skills and the Zen Master himself, Flash, picked me up and guided me to a world of new knowledge I had no heard of. Flash has been very resourceful. Does not take cash payments for any training or info. "A cup of coffee" is what ZMF will accept. If someone claims to be Flash and asks for money...then it is NOT him!

He can be highly critical of things, (some call it harsh or overbearing,) but it is to guide you on "the right path." Don't take offence! Learn to accept any input or inquiry.

ZMF should be available soon. Seems to be very busy right now. No worries! In the mean time, begin studying and practising your basic strategy. I would recommend starting with the 6 Deck, H17, DAS, RSA basic strategy chart. Once you have that down cold and can see the colours/decisions "in your mind's eye", you can expand to new horizons and start to become a threat to the casinos.

Keep checking up daily. Flash should pop up...he always does!

    Oops
Sir Flash dabbles not in trivial hi lo, preferring to extol the virtues of hi opt 2. Worry not sir. Provided you are so inclined, you will soon purchase the required reading material and sail forth into the world of ace neutral with Side counts. It is a good count by the way.

Your fees for his mentorship will be a cup or 2 if the finest Java, likely cultivated by Juan Valdez. I've never asked, however, if Sir Flash exhibits superior breeding as promulgated, no sugar or cream shall touch his lips from the Java you will so eagerly profer.

The Great White North, thought by many to be a winter wonderland playground. A great place to live, north of the 49th parallel in that world revered democracy known as the Dominion of Canada.

Looks like we're legalizing weed up here. After all, our Prime Minister isn't opposed to smoking a joint.

Western Canada is too far for me. Further down, in Ca or LV and I would be happy to get you your Java.

I'm thinking of a July or August trip to Nevada. I have a 3 month stability clause on my US travel insurance policy, and I've had some problems. I could have bought one with a 1 week stability period - had I known furstly, and secondly, the premium was prettyy high.

    Blackjack attack
    Blackjack blueprint

From what I was reading through online these were good books to read.

They are all good. What count are you using. Maybe we can help to define your direction.
