It's amazing what comps you can get for the same theo. It varies by game and also by what sort of action you bring. Some stores are very stingy with comps, while others give so much away I wonder how they pay their bills. If I told you what I get for 25$ theo, I doubt you would believe me.

I'd believe you. But if you tell me all I have to do is quit playing 6/5 $5 BJ and play high limit BJ until the the house has a $24 theoretical win. And I will be comped a meal in their most expensive restaurant and possibly a room , That's when my BULLSHIT alarm tends to go off.

Foxwoods just installed Stadium Blackjack. They went with the Interblock brand. Various Interblock games have been there for a while. There's even a Big Six wheel that seem to be popular.

Any idea how that version works ?

I didn't forget you, Buzz. I've been traveling and didn't get a chance to check it out until yesterday.

The rules are H17, 3:2, no surrender and pairs can only be split once. CSM of course. Table minimum is $3 with a $200 max. In this version the dealer gets a hole card in the usual way rather than after play is completed. I guess it's better than the $1 game with the 25 cent anti that Foxwoods offers. The dealers wear miked headsets and interact with the players.

By the way, earn 10 comp points playing blackjack and get one entry to win an Aston Martin.

I just visited that "new" area in Foxwoods today! It is very well done. It is much more exciting/fun looking than the area at Mohegan. Foxwoods also installed a new mini-pit just behind the stadium seats. There are three traditional BJ tables and two roulette wheels. It is a great location since it is more open than the dark old Great Cedar casino next to it. So, once you realize that stadium blackjack is just a joke, you can take a short walk to play the real game! I think the mins there were $15.

By the way, earn one comp point and get a coupon for a free buffet! That's much more practical than an Aston Martion IMHO. 8^)

Thanks for the info. Wonder who the genius was that decided pairs can only only be split once? I mean with a $3 bet that increases the expected win by 15/100 of a penny. And leaves a terrible taste is the mouth of the player. Split 8's and get another 8 = Happy 16. Well, no worry about $3 players splitting 10's and turning 1 winner into 4 losers. Pure genius ! And wonder how many board meeting it took to decide the max bet should be $300.
I mean with a house edge of just 0.70 percent and a CSM, Much better to have that HIGH ROLLER playing a lower HE and able to count at a real BJ table.

I have actually had several low limit players tell me that the Maximum bet is to stop Martingale system players from winning. HAHA Actually is because you want your best dealers handling high bets. But this is a CSM and electronic payouts. Can't see how a dealer and player can collude. Can you ???

This is an older thread but I know people who have been playing Stadium Blackjack at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut including, some of my family members, so here is an update for everyone.

Mohegan Sun has quietly changed the rules of this game by removing surrender and changing the blackjack payout from 3:2 to 6:5. No announcement, no memo, just the words printed on the screen. People are finding out by getting the short pay. The average person isn't looking for it and wouldn't understand it anyway. A friend called me on this over the weekend and I verified it today.

I never told any recreational players not to play this game but obviously that has changed.

Here's an update for players in Sydney, Australia. The trial was successful and the Stadium is now permanent. In fact it is has been expanded and two mini Stadiums have been built in different locations throughout the casino with varying betting limits. All up there are four games of Baccarat, two games of Roulette, one game of Sic Bo and one game of 3:2 Blackjack available at any time as well as a Disc Jockey on Friday and Saturday nights. My guess is that it remains popular due to the $5 min bets rather than the $30 min bets at the tables.
